Model 3 De-chrome / chrome delete advice

I've had my midnight silver Model 3 for 2 weeks now and LOVE IT! A mate works at Tesla in San Jose and I drove a pre-production one in California in late 2017, and put my deposit down a few days later. I was super impressed and still am.

Anyway, I'd like to get it 'de-chromed' as I think removing all the shiny elements will suit the design. I want to get it done professionally but had a really bad experience at a car wrapping specialist yesterday. They said they could do a Tesla Model 3 chrome delete no problem and to bring it in. So I drove there and they basically said they can't do the mirrors (which I understand are challenging with the fold movement) - and then spent 20 mins watching YouTube clips to see how it's done. The entire experience was far from reassuring and I ended up agreeing not to proceed and drove home.

So... has anyone had any good experience de-chroming or doing a chrome delete on a Model 3 in the UK?

I live in Esher but happy to travel for the right specialist. I'm all about the detail, so it has to be done right.

Any suggestions or assistance greatly appreciated!

I'm not averse to doing it myself - but would it be as good as a professional install? I may give it a go... but I still think I'd be happier going with a professional shop who knows what they're doing. Bubbles or an area not perfectly covered would drive me mad!

Thanks for accessories link - very useful!

Its could be as good. Its all about taking your time and the material it self is very forgiving. The pack is pre-cut so no cutting its just sticking it down to the right area.

Or give the pack to a Pro to do for you? There are videos by Kenriko on the Tubes on how you install the pack.

why is watching youtube nont reassuring they are watching how someone else did it to learn. I do it for work in design and iv done it for years. learn form others. youtube is the same as reading the manual now basically.

I thought about doing it with plastidip to see how that looks, I have ordered some but the weather hasn't been great so the car is constantly dirty at the moment, I have seen some Model X's done with it and it came out quite nice but this obviously wont last as well as proper wrap.
I was quoted £450 for chrome delete at the same place I had the windows tinted.

I've looked at this chrome delete kit, and its the one I'd go for. It's $149 and you get two kits, so if you make a mistake you've got another one there. Also their install videos look really detailed, so would give it a try.

I was quoted $400 for chrome delete from the place that tinted my M3. I asked if it would be cheaper if I brought in a pre cut kit like Kenriko’s and was told DO NOT bring kit.

I’ll probably do it except he tells me it would be a day and a half for the job. I’m not comfortable leaving Elektra there overnight.
