Model 3 Delivery Experience in Fremont

Totally a WAG, but I'm thinking they finally got the shipment in of the Model 3 models , as too much red tape involved in the real deals......

I have my delivery scheduled at the Fremont Delivery Center tomorrow but did not receive the invite to the exclusive delivery event.

I got my invitation at 6:01PM tomorrow too, and I RSVPed. I plan to go tomorrow (sunday), so if anyone here visits them today, can you please tell us your experience? I scrambled yesterday to finish my loan app and trade-in details.

FWIW, got approved for 3.6% in 72 months through Tesla.

I’m quite certain this is a way to maximize deliveries prior to quarter end. This is yet another important quarter for Tesla. I agree they’re likely to do a second one the following weekend, assuming all goes well.

Should be interesting and exciting for those getting their cars a little early.

Another note regarding availability: It sounds like if they are unable to match a car today then they will get you one within a few days.

Maybe 30 people here at 9a. Passed about 15 car transporter semis, parked empty on the side streets around here, on the way in. Tons of vehicles in the lot out front including a silver metallic performance that hopefully works for me.

After checkin, they directed me and others to the lounge. They don’t have a car matched yet so I’m to wait there for a “matching specialist” who will see if there’s a VIN here that matches my order.

It looks like they have them arranged by color? So as others have said, like a traditional dealership. Pick a car that matches your order, they assign VIN, complete same day financing (as any auto dealer can) and off you go! Sweet!

Echoing what others have said already. Basically a matching process here. If they have a car that matches your build the you have a car to take home

I have a VIN, but at checkin I was told they could also match me to another vehicle if I didn’t mind. So basically they have a bunch of cars here and they’re matching them to whoever shows up.

Silver Metallic is the least popular color, but those look REALLY nice with the 19" rims. I like Silver Metallic, but my wife got to choose the color (deep blue). Hope they have one for you!
