Model 3 Delivery Experience in Fremont

US Bank approved my loan (3.6%, 72 months, 10% down) nearly instantly. Now waiting for contracts.

When I was perusing the lot I noticed that none of the available vehicles had EAP or FSD. A Tesla employee in the lot told me that can be added and I will get a reprinted Monroney sticker too.

I can confirm that applying for Tesla financing on-site is possible. The Tesla advisor says it will add 30-40 minutes. She also said that the Tesla finance team is standing by (off site).

After over 2 hrs of waiting with no communication whatsoever I was told that I can now go outside and “look” for my car. That’s the first thing I did when I got here before 9 -_- and alas my config is not here. Now waiting to get scheduled for delivery...

I feel your pain. They did not have their system down when they opened the doors. People who just showed up get the correct information, but if you showed up early and waited patiently you wound up overlooked.

Interesting. This seems to be the location where they had started installing supercharger pedestals a few years back but never set up the actual chargers (also see this thread). Speculation at the time was that this would be a delivery center, but only now are they starting to use it. I could swear the pedestals were still there when I drove by a few weeks ago.

Do they have chargers in the parking area? I would like to plug in my S when we pick up the 3.

If I was given this opportunity with a week notice I would fly there from UT for ~$100 one way and just drive one home. Heck, I would likely even adjust my order to match a config available and be stoked. I actually don’t hate buying cars through a dealer, I just don’t like the commission based sales people and no other car company makes anything comparable. I might even pop for EAP. I honestly would get it, but it’s $5k I would rarely use and I wouldn’t want my wife using it. Feeling like Elon has totally given up on the day 1 peeps and is just needing cash which makes me question Tesla long term as a business model.

They are flying through my paperwork. I think this is a sign and drive situation - at no time has there been a Tesla employee standing with me as I look at the car I picked. Fingers crossed that nothing obvious appears.

The contracts specialist I’m working with just shared that they expect to deliver 400 (!) model 3s here today.

Speaking of stickers, did you notice any other discrepancies? I was looking at cars with white interiors, and the stickers I spot-checked didn't list that option. So... it's free? Or they reprint when they notice the error?

I think we talked to each other briefly, before I left. Glad you found a car, and I hope you enjoy it.
