Model 3 faster at full charge?

Hey guys,

I have the LR AWD Model 3. Just wondering - I noticed when it was around 15% battery that it wasnt as powerful (in terms of acceleration) as when I had it around 50-55% battery. Is the vehicle faster when fully charged as opposed to at a lower battery level?

Yes. The battery can deliver more power when fully charged.

Also, at lower charge levels the software limits the power to make sure none of the individual cells fall below a certain voltage.

I've read experiments on 0-60 times at different charge levels, but I do not recall exact numbers.00

Yes, it just about mimics the response of the human body. Roles off a little when really full, slower when empty.

Is the top end limited to 62MPH at 5% SOC? The chart seems to indicate this.

It felt mushy to me at that point. 4-3% area. Did not feel speed restricted. Just as is pointed out. Top end gone.

Yes, it gets positively slovenly once you go down below 15%... Of course, that's slovenly for a Tesla, so its still fast compared to most ICEs
