I'm wondering if I should order a second fob. A couple of weeks after getting my brand new 2000 BMW 323i, I lost one of the keys. I think it was priced about the same as the one for the 3. On the rare times that my wife drives my car she uses her keycard (one of four I have). I have three fobs for my Nissan Murano; one for each driver in the house. One I got with the car, the other two I picked up from Nissan parts department. I think they were around $80 apiece. Two fobs came with the wife's Honda Ridgeline; she has her's and I have mine. I don't think my daughter has ever driven the truck by herself.

I tell myself that I should do my part to contribute to Tesla's bottom line.... Decisions, decisions....

I suppose I could order SIX fobs since I recently got my second reservation deposit refunded a couple of days ago.

FWIW when I ordered my wheel cap kit they said 8 weeks and it took 5 days.

By the way, the Tesla key fob is really tough. I've had my keys attached to it using the above string attachment, kept and transported in my pants pocket and I detect only a few very slight scratches after 7 months.
