Model 3 KeyFob to unlock charge port

I got the Model 3 KeyFob last year and I have only recently discoverers that if you long press (2 Seconds) the boot open button this will unlock the charger port allowing you to pull the cable out without first having to go into the car or app.

It’s not very well documented (The Model3 manual says that it will just open the charge port flap)
So i thought I would mention it for this that have the key and possibly didn’t know

In hindsight since we don't have a Tesla charger with the magic open charge port button, I wish I'd bought the Tesla key fob over a smart ring (made out of a Tesla key card).

You can buy a cable with the "magic button" from 3rd parties.... But it costs the same or more as the fob, so....

Only if you fumble with the trunk switch on the fob.
Single long press opens charge port, double press opens trunk.
Single press on the roof switch locks the car, double press unlocks the car.
Double press on the bonnet switch opens the frunk.

If anyone reads this thread who has both fob and refresh model 3, could they confirm if a 2nd double press on the fob's trunk button closes it?

my wife has just been lightly pressing on the charge port (cos that what she does on her car) and it opens (she has her phone key in pocket).

id been showing her the button on the charger and if its powered it opens. ah stupid she said just press here... m3sr.

Thanks for the heads up, I might get one. Does this also stop charging and unlock the charging cable? That's the most annoying part of using a non-Tesla charger.
