Model 3 - LR AWD Waiting Room

I got a quote for 8500 for my trade in, went the next day to place an order in person with a Owner Specialist. Payed the $100 and was told to finish my account, uploaded photos and mileage. Next day, they emailed me saying your trade in is finalized with a quote of 4500 lol.. My car had no cosmetic damage nor has it been in an accident. The correct mileage was shown in the picture, called in and my OS said someone in the department "fat fingered" the numbers and they can't honor the original quote, got frustrated and cancelled my order. Spent couple of weeks calling and talking to the supervisor, just for them to give me the runaround - "We're waiting for them to reply". Finally got a reply, saying they denied my request for the $100 refund but they'll put in a second request. Ended up selling the car privately (I know, I shouldn't have cancelled my order, I just thought I wasn't going to purchase the car anymore). Placed a new order couple weeks after, get a call from the supervisor the same day asking if it was by mistake. I told them the situation and guess what.. "in that case, we can probably give you store credit if the refund doesn't go through. Two days later, get a call back and the refund was approved. I guess it only mattered since I place another order. Don't count on their trade in value to be accurate, well in my case. It's better off selling the car privately than to deal with their trade in process.
Carvana for sure. Tesla offered me less as well.

Mine changed from 15-30 December to 07-28 December. Sold car to Carvana because they offer more than Tesla and Carmax. Would be great if it arrived on the 7th.
Yeah carvana offered me more

I have a feeling once one of us in the USA get a VIN, they'll all come pretty quickly after that. It's been about a week since deliveries across the pond, so any day now we should hear of some USA deliveries. My ETA still shows Nov 25th to Dec 9th. Ordered Oct 28. MSM/Black.

Finally got a response from an Operations Advisor (seems like my sales associate passed the buck to them) and they said they can't see/do anything unless a VIN# is assigned. FWIW - my estimated delivery date has continually been changing. Today it's: 11/23 - 11/25 vs 11/20 - 11/25 last week.
I get that they can't do anything until we each get our VINs but it's pretty frustrating that they don't even have a general idea about when they expect vehicles to be built, delivered, etc

I called Tesla today...they said my order might arrive by the end of Nov, but probably by the first week in Dec if not.

The SA said they had some SR+ come in already here in Portland, but not any LR yet. From another post today, it sounds like LR VINs have started to be assigned. So it should be soon!

I ordered a Hot Wheels Model 3 off Amazon to tide me over. :) Same blue/black as the real Model 3 I’m getting.

Where did you see LR VINs starting to get assigned?
