Good news!

I was looking through the new inventory page and I saw a MSM 2021 LR. Called as soon as the store opened up and they said that this model was not pre production and it was just produced and coming down from Fremont CA. Originally my config was WHITE 2021 LR. My SA matched it and as soon as he did, my page updated and it now shows MSM 2021 LR arriving with estimate date DEC 12 - DEC 17.
And VIN number shows up too! (11th letter being the M. Indicating the 2021 model)

now just a couple more days!!!:)

Congrats! I called my delivery center to ask if they had any since I've seen some in the inventory page but the SA told me unfortunately they're all pre-production. He did say I should have my car within the next 10 day, let's hope he's right!

Order: 11/8 White/Black
delivery location: Buena Park, CA

Took Delivery today directly at the factory in Fremont. Couldn’t have been easier. contactless, Car was in perfect condition, not one complaint. The most fun 80 mile drive home of my life. I was nervous about engaging autopilot, but 5 minutes with it, and I couldn’t have felt safer. Never once did I have to correct the steering or brake, even though I was in stop and go traffic for awhile.

Long Range Blue/White 19” rims. Car had 239 miles of charge to start, got it down to 123 by the time I drove home the 80 miles. I hit it hard though a few times and had the heat and stereo cranked.

So now there are actually quite a few 2021 LR M3s showing in my area and these do not include $1200 of transportation fee. I am going to call again as soon as they open and inquire about one of these. I don’t understand why I have to wait and then pay for transportation. This is getting a bit frustrating.

Talked to my SA in Cherry Creek and he is estimating I get a vin next week. I asked if I could be matched to the exact build I see available, but he said that he can’t or something.
Soon!

Congratulations! I've got the same configuration and am taking delivery on the 23rd.

Unfortunately you will still pay the 1200. Delivery 1200 and transportation (additional to move from where it was delivered) are two separate fees. Tesla says federal regs mandate every new car charge the consumer the same delivery fee. Also most inventory cars are pre production

Upon inspection of my vehicle I found two areas on the exterior that needed addressed for painting issues. A paint chip on drivers side front wheel well and one on passenger side back quarter panel. Delivery specialist told me their paint employee is off on weekends and they will take care of it Monday for me to pick up in the afternoon. They absolutely would not let me take it home. Actually the way the process was setup, I had to accept delivery before I could even get the doors unlocked. So I have not been able to look inside yet because I have not clicked "accept delivery" yet. He said they changed delivery policy about a month and a half ago.

Web page has updated to Monday delivery and blue "accept delivery" button is still there. I called and confirmed again that I do not need to accept delivery until I get there Monday. I was concerned of losing the car if I didn't accept it but he said not to accept it until then.

Obviously disappointed but I couldn't let the paint defects slide.
That is a big buzz kill and happened at my recent MY delivery when factory forgot to install third brake light bulb which was safety issue. Why wouldn't they just write up a due bill?

I got matched with a car in Cali and it’s being moved to my SC in Rhode Island, for zip! So no, it won’t always cost 1200.

So when you go to your page that shows the Vin, under completed tasks and show the details, in the line items there isn't $75 documentation fee and $1125 destination fee?

Apologies, I thought you were referring to the additional charge for some inventory transport fees. Usually if its over 200 miles, they charge. I did not get charged for an inventory coming from Cali to RI.

Congrats. Mine is "supposed" to hit Kansas City on the 15th.

I've seen photos of some deliveries here with MO temp plates but I don't know for sure what they are doing now since I don't have an SA. I have my tag from my previous vehicle and am allowed to use that for 30 days.

Keep Tag OK

"If you purchase your next vehicle from anyone other than a licensed dealership, the car will not come with a tag. There are two options for tagging the car:

If you do not have a tag from a previous vehicle, the car may be driven for five days without a plate. During these five days, you must have a copy of the bill of sale or the assigned title in the vehicle.

If you have a tag from a previous vehicle you have 30 days to transfer the tag/registration to avoid penalties. Then that plate may be placed on the newly-purchased vehicle. Additional penalties and fees will begin accruing after 30 days if you have not registered the new car."

Has your account page changed the date of delivery?
Mine still states “Estimated Delivery: 6 - 10 weeks from order placed date”
