So I got my VIN yesterday, 12/4, which is great… This allowed me to proceed with pushing through on financing via Tesla but now I’m waiting for their approval.

Problem is, I have delivery scheduled for 12/7!

But nervous now with such a short timeline… Guess I’ll bug my advisor later?

No vin yet but seeing your post makes me feel a little better that I may get my vin soon. Enjoy your Tesla!

We took delivery on ours last week. Everything went okay. I didn't see any major flaws or problems with the vehicle. I think the most serious issue with the car was with the rear doors. You really have to slam them to get them to close all the way. The kids have a hard time closing them so we usually have to get out and do it for them. I have since seen videos where this was an issue. I had a service appointment already in place to install our garage door opener and just added the rear door issue to the appointment since they will be here anyway. There really wasn't anything special about the delivery. We got there a little early and they were still washing it. When it was done the car wash gal talked to us for a moment about the car and let us play with it until our SA was available. The SA had us sign papers, programmed our key cards and phones, then briefly described the features. Our appointment was at 10:30 we were done by 11. I have an appointment tomorrow to do the ceramic coating and window tinting. Our Tesla wall charger was installed several weeks ago and works great. Been driving it all weekend and really enjoy it. Best of luck to everyone else.

OK, so here's a new one. I wrote to Mt Kisco a few days ago to ask about my EDD moving for the 5th time on my DBM M3LR. They finally responded with a very strange text. Anyone else ever see this?

"We are responding to your inquiry about the shift in your estimated delivery window. Tesla has recently made a change to the way we process trade-ins. This new process affects the delivery timing window temporarily. Once the trade-in is completed on your end, the timeline should shift right back to what you saw before. I can walk you through finalizing the trade-in so we can verify that this is the case with your situation.

Best,
Sara, Tesla"

Not sure how I could finalize a trade in offer that lasts 30 days and I ordered the car 4 months ago. This is getting just ridiculous.

No he didn't. He said it won't get done THIS YEAR. Which means it will get done next year. There is close to 0 chance BBB doesn't pass in some form. The EV tax credit date could change from 1/1/2022, but I really doubt the Senate will modify the date that passed in the House already.
The current language states it is effective 1/1/2022 or later if passed later. It is not retro active. The House will need to approve the senate updates and right now immigration might get cut bc it may not be legal to be part of the budget reconciliation. Tesla needs to run a business, and will deliver cars as there is no credit on the horizon.
