Nah. Everything I read is that it isn't necessary and just chews up the battery. It's currently 140 in my car. Only a high today of 105, so not that bad. I just turn the AC on before I walk to the car.
I have the "NO A/C" version of Cabin Overheat Protection on, so it runs the fan when it gets hot. It draws almost no power at all. I don't like seeing my vehicle electronics at 140 degrees.

I would assume that the seat color also has an impact on energy management.

I used to use the "Vent Windows" feature on the app, but the car doesn't look after me. I want the windows to close when it rains (and reopen when it stops). I want the windows to close if somebody approaches the car (and reopen when they leave). Now that we've got a software-controlled car, I wonder if the ideas will ever end.

Must be a busy day for Tesla delivery--received an email from Tesla at 7:30 PM today stating that it is ready for delivery. When checking the app, the EDD window moved from 7/23 - 8/27 to today (6/15) to 6/19?!? Not sure if this is an error because when clicking the link to schedule an appointment, the landing page said to call a Tesla 888 number. After calling, the office is closed and unable to leave a voicemail because the mailbox is full.

Even more interesting is the need to get financing squared away--I was planning to apply in late June/early July.

I'm beginning to wonder if the choice of White seats is a liability on the Tesla VIN distribution lotto....
I was just thinking of the SAME few hours ago!! Especially, when I see folks with similar OD but black seats getting their VIN and delivery date.

I think we are entering a state of mind where we question each option we took or should have taken when ordering. 😂🤣 When will this excruciating wait end!!

Tinting the front windshield has shown to lower cabin temps significantly.

Hey All, hang in there. Picked up my car in FLL after 5 1/2 months of waiting.

Had to stick to my guns and insist on looking at the inside of the car since there was some kind of stain on the back seat.

It's their "policy" not to open ANY car until the car is accepted. Funny since the car already had my Florida registration on the seat and the license plate attached to it. Was told "We don't open any car for anyone. If you want you can reject the car, we'll re-assign it and you can wait 4 weeks for another car." several times from the guy who was assigned to us for pickup. So I said "fine, I'll reject". Then he got the manager who proceeded to tell us the same exact thing. I said "that's not a policy, that's this location's procedure, and I'd like to see that "policy" in writing." Finally, after going back and forth for about 20 minutes, he said he would open the car for us to look at it. The stain turned out to be body sweat/oil from what looked like someone's palm or elbow. We checked everything else, signed everything, handed over the check and the car is HOME. It will need minor adjustments to the headlights, one is low and the other is high against the hood and also there a minor split on the rubber surrounding the driver door (that will need replacing).

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE and don't take any CRAP. It's YOUR hard earned money and don't forget it.

I need my VIN right now before DCU raises their rates to reflect todays Federal rake hike. 😩
Ugh I feel you. I just switched over to DCU from my own CU since they'll only do 100% LTV compared to DCU's 130% and I'd like to roll in WA Tax+Reg. Finally got stuff squared away yesterday. For others wondering, DCU needs to have a VIN/MVPA to proceed with financing, including rate lock. Given the doc they were able to fire off a check w/tracking + image (for local SC) this am (<24h) which was really nice. Unfortunately I wasn't free today or tomorrow so keeping my 6/17 delivery appointment.

Anyone in the Seattle are use Sound CU for their loan? I see they have competitive rates online but not sure if they do a rate lock. If so I might just go with them instead of DCU.
