You'll be singing a different tune when it comes time to shell out $70k for a Prius interior.

I'll be happily singing when it finally comes time shell out for a Model 3. I can't stand gaudy leather, too many buttons/nobs, and being "Liberace'd" by so-called creature comforts.

This creature is very comfortable in my leather interior Model S with no centre console and lots of space. Minimalist design is the way of the future.

My problem with the interior is the lack of a 3.5 mm input aux jack, it needs more 12volt and USB outlets, a household plug (inverter), and cup holders in the doors. That would make it just about perfect for me.

I know the Model 3 will be even more sparse than the Model S and that's fine by me. Looking at those pictures above, I can't wait to get one!

Curious what makes a cars interior luxurious. I have had a BMW 5 series. A Mercedes R series and a Lexus IS. So what makes the interior of my Model S and the interior of the upcoming Model 3 less luxurious. Does the dash have to be busier? Does it have to have more cup holders. Does the dash have to be a certain material? What is the Model 3 missing. If it is simply a busier dash I dont get it. The BMW 5 series I had leather was no better then our Model S leather. The dash was certainly busier. It had the awful iDrive control for controlling most of the items in the center console (joke in BMW circles was honey you change the radio station while iDrive).
luxurious to me is
1. The color of the dual tone leather - and its stitching.
2. The color of the real wood.

I'm not looking for luxury though. I would rather have performance.

Sure. But that doesn't mean they didn't hear the feedback last April or that they didn't have ample time to address it.
I'm sure they heard some feedback. But, as is said, you can't please everyone. I've yet to see anything suggesting that the feedback was overwhelmingly or even majority negative.

It's their gamble, either way. They'll know a lot more about how it plays out in a year or less.

I guess if you hardly ever spend time in luxury cars, you have different standards. Personally, I can't stand the look of wood in a car. Wood belongs in the woods. I notice a lot have analog clocks in them. Why? Anyone can read a digital clock faster. I couldn't even tell you the color of the stitching on my car, never bothered to look in that detail. My only complaint about my Mazda is that after 13 years, the adhesive on the door fabric seems to be deteriorating, and I have to glue it back in. If I don't have to do that with my Model 3, I will be more than happy.

No it doesn't. It certainly DOES NOT. There is absolutely no line at all that you can draw in this picture that traces a line above the fog lights - That can be found in that picture.

There is a perfect uninterrupted reflection of landscape above the entire fog light.

its the same car.

This is what I mean. In the right conditions with the right super reflective paint (like blue or black) the reflections can cause your eyes to follow lines that don't exist. I just want a straight on shot and side shot in less reflective conditions.

Those are alternative lines you are drawing. ( I didn't want to say "alternative facts" ). lol

That yellow line you made is certainly NOT the line of the alpha. Look at the NON reflective images below.

Or did they make 2 different Alpha fascia's?

Different than the current AP 2.0... such as if they figured out there were some deficiencies.
I believe AP will be identical for all of Teslas cars. I can't think of a valid reason as to why the model 3 would have any thing different than the current Model S concerning AP. They both have cameras/radars in the same place.

That's my whole point. We know it's not like that but if that's what you want to see, you can see that line. I think the blue one is the same. Your eyes follow the reflections, but I think it's just like the red one.

What's up with the fog lights? The orange/amber part looks swapped from left to right in the alphas vs RCs.

nah - they are totally the same, hang on let me draw some imaginary yellow lines on a picture to suggest that white and yellow are not in fact different colors and you are totally imagining them being different.
