Wiki Model 3 Order Tracking Spreadsheet

surprised to see so few european orders logged in the sheet so far.. come on european buyers.. we know you're out there!

The new entries in the Model 3 sheet seem to have faded quite a bit lately. Does this mean people are not as "online savvy" and just walking into stores and buying cars without involvement in online in forums like TMC? The other trackers continue to have rate of participation, even now years into the MS and MX availability, akin to the rate of vin assignment and deliveries. Model X tracker really has been pretty active the last few months.

I checked my account portal this morning and have a VIN assigned and I have an option to make a final payment. I'm hoping this means I won't get my delivery date rescheduled again.

Ordered 10/24
No reservation. No prior Tesla.
MSM, Black, 18" Aero, EAP
Delivery Date 12/20 @ Costa Mesa, CA
VIN Assigned: 12/16

Hello! Soon to be new Tesla owner, very excited!

Long Range Dual Motor
Blue / White
19’s
EAP

Expecting purchase agreement tomorrow 12/17. My delivery specialist said I should get it the week of Christmas. I had a sales person match me with an inventory in CA prior to placing the order.

Can’t wait!

@Troy currently the delivery tab shows only about 2500 Model 3s left to be delivered by end of 2018. That feels really light to me, implying really no year-end delivery 'push' remains of any consequence. Particularly when compared to the Q3 push. What do you think about this in the spreadsheet? Seems like there is either no push coming (200 deliveries a day, spread nationally, should be a breeze), or your deliveries to date or deliveries estimate for Q4 are out of whack if we are going to see a big delivery push nationally between 12/26-12/31. Thoughts?

155535 was a december build. ordered 12/7 delivered 12/18.
MR white/white 18" aero, EAP.

Hi, @Lucent. See 'VIN Chart' tab in my survey. Model 3 VIN assignments are not sequential because Tesla wants to obscure day to day production numbers because shorts and day traders would create too much drama. See the VIN Chart here. If you get a low VIN, it doesn't mean your car was produced a while ago and it was sitting in a parking lot. My guess is your 81K was produced in late Nov 2018.You can confirm the month & year of manufacture by looking at the driver's door frame sticker which looks like this:

Generally seems to be a slowing down of participation in the spreadsheet, even with EU confirmations opening up. You'd think that a burst of new entries would be happening at this point. What will drive more activity in the spreadsheet in 2019? Or are cars typically just being sold directly off the lots quickly and ordering really not necessary?

Sounds like it. It may be one that was rejected due to paint issues and they've repainted portions, etc.
I've in general appreciated your contribution, scepticism and somber tone even when you were collaborating and feeding data to that Seeking Alpha moron, whatever his name was...
But to say what you said here, when it's way, way more likely that Tesla overproduced for inventory sales, this just smells like FUD, and as if you're trying to get potential buyer concerned. I'm disappointed @bonaire
