No VIN, Delivery Scheduled, or other updates as of 9/8 (3 weeks)

Update as of 9/17
- VIN was assigned 9/13
- Delivery Scheduled for 9/16 the following day
- On 9/15, received notice that that the car had been damaged during transport, and I would be "placed in front of the queue for a new car out of the factory"
- On 9/16, a new VIN was added to my dashboard, with a new delivery date scheduled for 9/20 (I did not confirm availability, it was assigned)
- On 9/17 I reached out to my Owner Advisor asking for clarification. He wasn't in the loop about the damaged car or that a new one had been matched. He followed up shortly after confirming that a match had been found and was on it's way to the local delivery center.
- A few hours later, I received another call explaining that the matching car was actually a Canadian VIN, and that they weren't able to legally sell me the car.
- As of EOD 9/17 I have no VIN or delivery date scheduled. Coming up on 5 weeks since configuration/deposit.

UPDATE: SO HAPPY!

Called my SA today to check on the status of my 08/23 order LR AWD MSM/Black AP 18" Areo. He said California wouldn't be getting a shipment of vehicles until 09/24 and it's going to be MASSIVE shipment. He then placed me on hold and came back with the "Stealth" Model P3D—(Might not be correct abbreviation) was mysteriously in-stock as he just checked yesterday and saw nothing. He matched me immediately and gave me a $2,500/off for paint/wheels + (2)year SC. So I just got a P3D for 1k more, WOOT!!

Matched Order: 09/16 LR AWD Performance MSM/Black AP 19" Sport Wheels - Delivery Date 09/20 (WOOT)
VIN: 5YJxxx (not sure what's safe to put here)

Congrats, thats an awesome deal!
I just called my local salesperson and asked him about this and he mentioned that these deals were just for last weekend. I asked him why this was not somehow mentioned to current folks waiting on their orders, and he didn't really have an answer. Pretty annoying if you ask me but oh well.

"Tesla Update We expect to deliver your Model 3 in the next two weeks and will update you when your delivery appointment is ready to be scheduled."

Ordered mine on 8/26:
White LR (Black int/18" Aeros/No FSD)

Online said 2 weeks but sales person said he's been seeing more like 3-4 weeks.

This is for Bay Area.

We shall see.

Wow, just got a text for a delivery for tomorrow 9/19.
Is it normal that I never received a notification about the VIN?

Yes from what I've gathered from speaking to various Tesla reps, you can't go forward with the loan/buying process until you get the mvpa. My loan amount on my account isn't even accurate since it includes the upgrades I got for free this past weeked (color + wheels), so I can't get an accurate loan amount until I get a VIN and they update the payment page..

"Tesla Update - Your Model 3 will be exiting the factory in the next few days. Please log in to tesla.com/teslaaccount and complete all outstanding tasks within the next 24 hours. We will update you when it is time to schedule your delivery appointment."

9/21 - Found VIN in source code and account page now shows final payment

Waiting on getting the MVPA from my SA to schedule delivery.

Ordered my Model 3 LR on September 24th, white exterior back interior still waiting for VIN.
Exchanged emails with a delivery specialist after she reached out to me, she said that they are expecting to receive new inventory by end of October.
They sold all their inventory during the last quarterly push.

i reserved a model 3 in sep 23 from local tesla store nothing was around for me spec so waited now decide to change interior color to white i know i will have to wait longer but they still have no idea when it will be ready i see some people get emailed and texted updates on order i dont get any of that how can i sign up for that or is only if you order online my local store says techinally i didnt order just waiting for one to come around he told me tesla doesnt order them they just send out what is in the system to be made is this true
