That’s right. And of course people will say “fine then walk”. Or “you don’t need it”. But when the sales people told me with confidence when I “would” be getting my car by this particular week...i started making plans as any responsible owner would....scheduling PPF application while having another car available, returning an expiring current lease vehicle, installing a wall connector, purchasing different wheels....so yeah, it’s not such a little deal anymore. They could have done much better at informing me so I could prepare accordingly
Yes, I was told delivery time frames "with confidence" also. An no, I don't think you or I will walk - at least up to a point.

I got rid of the car I was using - and seriously regret that now. I've held off on a wall connector - only because it doesn't seem to be a pressing issue right now.

I think all of this is a corporate culture issue. We mean nothing to people at Tesla - just the customers who take the cars home. Tesla probably cares more about their stock price than anything else. I worked for years in Silicon Valley start-ups and we were obsessed with our stock. But we didn't sell to the public like Tesla does. I do know that, up until recently, the SA's got $100 for each completed sale! I guess they are the bottom of the food chain because they are the interface with customers. Now SAs have increased salary and no commission.

I just don't understand the way Tesla acts toward us. The only way to deal with this experience is simply not to care what happens.

You’re just like me. Granted, I can’t complain yet at all. I just ordered last Monday so I have no idea what boat I’ll be in, but I’m totally meticulous in planning when I commit to a big purchase like this. Based on the sales rep estimate, I’ve been researching PPF nearby, reserved parking in my building with charging (which starts early December whether the car is here or not), ordered needed accessories...it’s a lot to prepare for. I’m so excited for the car, but really surprised at HOW unclear this process is after diving into the boards this week. It’s just such a huge purchase to make to not have a clue and see so many customers in the dark. Had a great sales rep get me really enthusiastic, and now I have a feeling I may be pretty frustrated very shortly.

After getting a dose of reality from the boards, I’ll be happy if I get delivery by end of year and grab that last tax credit. Fingers crossed. Sorry your wait has been so brutal.

Went to the new customer orientation today. They said orders going to Costa Mesa, CA would be late November or December. They’re shipping to east coast right now and working their way west.

Also, we’re looking at 2020 VINs.

Does this also include the S and X? Ordered. 10/22. and they said 4-8 weeks. A few days later they were saying 3-7 weeks. Now 4-7 weeks. As long as it is within the original quote I can't complain, but at this stage in the game they should be pretty accurate.

At this point in their development, Tesla should be able to project and predict deliveries within a week or so - given that they know precisely what they have to make and what they can make. It is 2019, and computer modeling of orders and logistics should probably be very simple given the task. Given the total amount of money involved, I would think that Tesla can do all this and more. I think that Tesla gives the impression that it is out of control, but I really don't think that this is true.

So if Tesla wants to deliver to the West coast (specifically California) in the last two weeks of December - this is more than likely very intentional. We have had reports of cars that appeared to be going to foreign destinations at the same time cars are appearing at east coast delivery centers. Tesla is fulfilling cars everywhere. California is last. If the last 2 weeks in December is a major freak-show of cars flying out of delivery centers - this is what Tesla wants. This is how you fulfill a backlog of foreign orders while avoiding angering your US (and Canada) customers too much.

For people in California they said the last 2 weeks of Dec they will get big batch of deliveries which crush a lot of people’s hope. If you order like the first week of Oct. there’s some hope for end of Nov.
Costa Mesa order - a while back, or recently? Someone has posted that a Costa Mesa rep said later in December - and he had a 10/1 order.

I think all the reps don’t communicate the same info.
That would be me that posted that cause I attended the Costa Mesa meet today. The SR said last 2-3 weeks of DEC, but I asked him personally I placed my order Oct. 1st & the SR said I could probably get mine mid to late Nov. I think whoever ordered the first week of Oct. should get theirs this month, but those who ordered when they changed the date of 6-10 weeks will get theirs around Christmas time. That's one heck of a christmas gift!

Did anyone notice that the price has updated in the completed steps page. I have ordered sr+ black on white. $1000 CAD for black paint and $1300 CAD. Now it went up to the current prices even though i ordered when the price was low. Wtf
I just noticed this too. My price increased $500 or so even though I ordered on October 13 (prior to the increase). I also noticed they removed the "within 2 weeks" time frame from my account. Since my SA is MIA, I'm not counting on an explanation.

Well you should get the car within the time they said. For me it was 4-8 weeks. A few days later it was 3-7 weeks. The 7-8 weeks should be the outside window - even living in California.

Same here. Don’t count on an explanation. No one we get to talk to does anything but makeup stuff. I’m just going to live with it. (10/11 order myself).

I ordered on 10/11 —- it said 2-3 weeks until yesterday. It was 2-3 weeks when I ordered. I don’t know when they will deliver - and expect very few people know their delivery date either.

I just noticed that now that you said something. Price of black went up to $1000. My price also went up from $3990 to $4490 for SR+ rear wheel drive. I ordered on 10/02 when estimated delivery was 2 weeks. Still haven't heard anything, and now price goes up. Total BS.

Just check my account and it went up $500 for my SR+ white lol! Doesn’t matter cause at the end of the day I’m still getting it.

Does Tesla not honor the price as quoted when the order is placed? I know in the Order Agreement it states, "
The Final Price Sheet will be provided to you as your delivery date nears. It will include final pricing based on your final Vehicle
Configuration [...]"

My delivery date is set for 11/19, but I have not received a final price sheet, but my price on the Tesla site has not changed after the 11/1 price updates.

Am I in for a nasty surprise in my price? Can anyone confirm and actual price increase after their Order Agreement?

Today is officially one month since ordering my car (SR+/midnight silver/black seats). No word on expected VIN time frame, no word on why price increased, time frame of 2 weeks removed from profile page. I sent an email to delivery specialist last week as VINs were being assigned to other people who ordered after me with exact specifications and he said they were likely inventory cars. I want to be excited about this new car, but am feeling nothing but frustration at this point.
