Model 3 overrode my steering this week

So I was driving into work in the left most lane without using EAP on a multi lane highway when all the sudden I heard some alarms from the car then the steering wheel turned left and drove me mostly into the emergency/breakdown lane. I tried to fight it at first because I thought my Model 3 was trying to kill me but then I noticed a semi was running me off the road. Then I noticed the people behind me had dropped way back. The front of my car was a tad ahead of the semi so I wasn't paying attention to it and there were people in front of me. It was an interesting experience.

Sounds scary, but it's a nice lane assist feature. Noted in the manual:

Lane Assist may provide steering
interventions if Model 3 drifts into (or close to)
an adjacent lane in which an object, such as a
vehicle, is detected. In these situations, Model
3 automatically steers to a safer position in its
driving lane. This steering is applied only when
Model 3 is traveling between 30 and 85 mph
(48 and 140 km/h) on major roadways with
clearly visible lane markings. When Lane
Assist applies a steering intervention, the
touchscreen briefly displays a warning
message.

Well, if "In these situations, Model 3 automatically steers to a safer position in its driving lane. " actually stated "In these situations, Model 3 automatically steers to a safer position outside of the driving lane if necessary." I would feel better about it as I was not driving in any lane for a bit.
