I doubt any more reveals before March, but a surprise would be nice. We might see some test models out, using those parts they ordered, though.

Well, there is a lot we still don't know about Model 3. Final Interior & exterior design, grades and specifications, options and pricing, production targets, etc. etc. more than enough for an on-stage event. I also think it may not be in the best interest of Tesla to give out this information early so unfortunately, I fear the stage reveal event might be done close to start of full production followed immediately by the first lucky few getting invited to configure their cars. Just my opinion.

Nah, I know I'll be searching on Youtube as soon as the first deliveries in California start. Hopefully those fortunate enough to get their cars first post some pictures and videos to hold us over until ours come.
I'll have videos being posted as I pick my car up in Fremont and drive it back to Chicago. I'm ordering a fully optioned M≡.

I don't see that because vendor delivery cutoff is July 1st.

Hmm....I don't know. Its a long long way off.

If they want to cut it close and minimize media leaks....

we won't see the final reveal until late March-early April.

Keep in mind, they will need us early reservation holders to get into the Design Studio and convert our reservations into actual orders.

They need that data so that everyone knows how much of everything will be needed on July 1st, 2017. (the date Elon set for all vendors/suppliers to be ready to go.)

Come to think of it.....maybe early-mid March for the reveal. That way, by the time April 1st comes around (start of Q2 2017), they'll already have a good idea of what's being ordered....and an entire fiscal quarter to source it all.

An excellent point. Certainly strengthens the theory of a Spring reveal.

Screwed up the quote, but you get the point. :)

I'm thinking that for the M≡ R3 event Elon will be on stage showing pictures of the finished interior while describing how innovative and futuristic it is. They won't have enough time to produce an actual prototype by then.

This was a satisfyingly tongue-in-cheek comment. Well played! Surprised so many people took it seriously.

I am still curious as to what the Part 3 reveal will be. By the time Part 3 comes around everyone will have already seen the new release body shape with the new better looking nose. What is it that is being held back for the Part 3 reveal?

I know I might be beating a dead bush here but I personally think that Part 3 will be all about the interior. The "spaceship" is the final piece of the puzzle imho.

I know everyone is looking for more but I really think we've seen the interior and the exterior, I don't expect any major changes. Part 3, I think, will be a ceremony to launch the vehicle and present options/options pricing. I don't expect some revelation of the "real interior". I'm an Elon fan like a lot of us here but I think his hype machine has lead to unrealistic expectations which he has been trying to control lately.
