They are plastic, painted aluminum color! Description is deceiving, buyer beware.
I mean they only cost like $29 right now so I'm not expecting anything all that special. Just wondering if they are even worth that and/or the effort to install? Sounds like a good cheap mod to me. Maybe even pick up another set of I like them so when they wear out.....

I just installed the Kagu mats. They fit great and look great. Best mats Ive seen so far.
They look very substantial. More than I ever would consider in the past - of course on all those 3 year leases I couldn't give a crap about how they looked or held up over time. I vacuumed my M3 today and noticed rubbing the carpet with the nozzle head would create a mess over time. Fraying and pilling. I plan to keep this car 7-10 years so thinking I need to invest in some great interior protection. I though they looked a little beefy and possibly could negatively effect the interior look a great deal but what is your take on that? Thanks for the feedback.

P.S. I did buy the Tesla Store truck and frunk all weather cargo mats and those look great. Although they scrape very easily :(

The one on the left is from MECHCOS on Amazon and it's definitely plastic.

The one on the right is from Toplife sold by Tesla fans on Amazon and it's definitely Aluminum.

Got these a month ago when they were $9.99. Worth a try?

They fit fine, they were metal and rubber, they looked
good and "sporty".

It takes a little jiggling to remove the original brake rubber
pedal and get the lovely metal and rubber contraption on.
The accel one just pulls over the existing stub. They suggest
soaking them in hot water first, to make them more flexible.
That works OK if you don't spill the water (see floor-mats).
All in all, about 10 minutes. 20 if you spill the water. 60
minutes if you spill the water and add an electric hair drier
to soften up all the rubber. Zzzap. 10 if you skip the whole
softening bit entirely and use your fingers.

I can't see paying a lot for this effect, unless you have a habit
of laying the ladies (to impress) down over the console, so they
will see them for sure. Changing the ambient lighting LED for a
brighter one can help make your investment more obvious.

Functionally, the only noticeable effect has been to bring up
an occasional "both pedals pressed at once" warning at first.
They are a bit wider than the stock Tesla stumps, of course,
so it takes a little getting used to, keeping your foot where it
belongs. Just don't be a sap and pay for some "de luxe" or
otherwise wallet-purging variety. They're just pedal covers.

I did a long drive recently, over 90% on AS or NOA.
I thought I'd fully adjusted to my lovely new pedals,
but on the manual sections, the wider pedal covers
still caused a few "both pedals at once" alerts. Also
I had repeated situations where I was unconsciously
resting my foot on the edge of the wider accelerator,
and this throws off the AS/TACC. The stock accel
pedal is very smartly shaped the way it is
. It looks
like all the aftermarket kits have similar wider pedals.

I'm not sure yet if I'll take just the accelerator one or
both off, but it's fair to warn people that it's a cosmetic
gimmick that adds nothing (that I can detect) and can
cause headaches.
