I am starting to think that is the case, eg prioritize further deliveries vs local. This helps mitigate transportation delays
We ordered July 11th, delivery day is scheduled for Aug 28, 2pm.

Finally get to leave the waiting room for the time being. I took delivery this afternoon of a long awaited M3P. It was one day shy of being exactly 8 weeks from order date to delivery. Everything looks flawless and no issues to report. It was exciting and absolutely a blast to drive home. It was worth the wait! Hang in there guys and gals that are still waiting.

picked up today. great panel gaps (or lackthereof) some small superficial things that I noticed:
- sunken rear door handles (not flush)
- one of the panels on the interior was not locked in properly. noticed after taking delivery, should be an easy fix

Loving it. Definitely need to get tint soon since it's a big greenhouse. The pre-cooling Climate option is great on hot days.

2: picked mine up today! I inspected the best that could be done in a hurricane. Everything is perfect. I sold my 2018 AWD Model 3 for this car. I loved that car but this 2021 just feels like a more solid build.

Question. After I ordered on 8/17, I have completed 3 of the 4 "Prepare for delivery" tasks: Delivery Location, Registration, and Payment Method. The only thing that is not completed is I have not accepted or rejected Tesla's trade-in offer. Am I in the queue or do I have to finish the trade in task before I will get in the queue and get a VIN later, or am I in the queue already?

You're in the que. Mine didn't even move to the second task when I got my vin. I'm still stuck on step 2 with delivery date 8/26-9/1 even with entering my financials and all the required documents lol. Hopefully I'll get to schedule delivery soon.
