ouch… $1,400 a month for this rental car is really starting to suck.

Hey everyone! I picked up my car yesterday morning. I’ve been super anxious (one car family while waiting for the M3P…yes that’s my fault) this whole time, so I scheduled my delivery for 10AM. I arrived at 9:54 and was technically done by 9:58. Stayed around for an hour or so to look over the car, set up a driver profile, etc. Not a single issue with the build quality, the car looks and drives amazing! Like I mentioned, I’m super impatient but I’m glad I waited. It was slightly over 11 weeks for me from the time I ordered until delivery. Hang in there! Autopilot is amazing. I live in DC and commute into Virginia and I’ve had no issues at all, so far, in stop and go traffic.

Edit: As former military, shout out to the 1 star general and his wife that picked up the white M3P right next to mine. 😂

Edit 2: If anyone is looking for great rates, look into FedChoice CU. They offer a 1% discount if you apply for a loan within 90 days of joining. You can become eligible for membership by donating to the organization they specify on their website. Loan approvals are good for 60 days. Easy process, but you’ll have to call them once you submit the loan application/paperwork to follow up/finalize.

New to this forum. Original order date: 9/8. Blue on black, Northeast region. EDD had been constant of 11/3-11/17. About one week ago VIN was assigned and then the dates just disappeared from the app. I waited a few days then texted Tesla. They responded that the car is scheduled to arrive 10/29. Seems the auto responses from Tesla have stopped (not telling me VIN was assigned), but customer service is still good. We’ll see if it actually arrives on 10/29

Good luck! What's your plans for winter setup?

Ouch, where
Bay area, right across the bridge from the factory. That plays a big role. Generally, there are more east-coast deliveries earlier in the quarter, and it shifts toward the west coast later in the quarter because they don't have to ship the cars across the country then. But it's only a rough correlation. Mine was early in the quarter. They're supposedly moving away from the "EOQ rush" pattern, but I'm not convinced based on the patterns in this thread. I've only been following it between my own order-to-delivery process, though, so I guess it's possible that the correlation has loosened over time.

The car is totally worth the wacky waiting game. 😄

Hi,
We just had a call from the delivery driver telling us that he is bringing our new M3P from Dubai to our house in Abu Dhabi now!
ETA - 1 hour before we get our new car (that was ordered back in April!)
After inspecting the car thoroughly - 1st job is to fit the carbon fibre covers over the wood bits on the dash and front door handles - I really hate the 1970’s British Leyland wood look!
Cheers
Steve
