Anyone with a M3P with the LG battery notice anything dramatically different to the Panasonic battery M3P? If both are at say 60%, does the LG feel slow to accelerate from 0?

Some exciting news to wake up to this morning, my EDD had narrowed, and it turns I now have a VIN!!!

EDD is now 22/08/2022 - 05/09/2022 (From 26/08/2022 - 25/09/2022)

Tesla Account now allows me to pay my deposit prior to delivery (Of course they can wait until the time is right for that)

There have been a few threads on poor M3P performance at low states of charge, battery density issue with not being able to deliver high power at low states of charge.

However, did see an article today with a new battery from CATL to solve this problem, but not until next year.
CATL chief scientist says energy dense M3P batteries are already in production, debut next year

Don’t mistake the battery model M3P to mean Model 3 Performance. These will still be inferior to the batteries used in the Tesla M3P in terms of capacity, charge and discharge rates.

Sorry for the late reply. In case you haven’t sorted it yet, I had 25th august but changed it to 1st September. I have actually reverted it back now since it’s lease and I’ll be putting private plate on so the 72 plate doesn’t benefit me. Again, this was simply replying to the text and they sorted it albeit during working hours.

No problem. I called them and arranged for a 1 September pickup. They offer up to 7 days from the earliest date given originally.

You lucky sod - I ordered about a month earlier and was originally mid Sept to early Oct but got pushed back a few weeks ago and is now showing as 14th Nov - 29th Dec. Seems to be hugely dependent on colour of paint and interior! Every time someone on here posts a date change I check mine but always disappointment

Just bare in mind when I ordered 02/04/2022 it said Aug 2022 and then my EDD moved to mod June, then end of July and now I've just been allocated a vin for 22/08/2022-05/09/2022...

So you could easily see it slip away... Hope I'm wrong for you, but don't pin your hopes on a July order being delivered by end of September

Indeed, I’ve taken that date with a pinch of salt! It started with Oct-Dec, then narrowed down to 9 Dec to early Jan, then the latest. With every date change the window of EDD has reduced. I need to read about VIN allocation and how to check.

I’m beyond frustrated now. EDD has just slipped to sep 20 to sep 30 when others ordered around
My date (2nd April) have VINs and delivery in August. I feel a heated chat with a Tesla SA is on the cards
