Hey 3 owners looking for vinyl wrap ideas, check out this satin frozen vanilla color we just finished up.

Whether you’re going for something really colorful, or something more subtle like this 3, there’s a perfect color for you. What I really like about this is how much it compliments the new satin black trims from factory. The metallic flakes in the wrap is very similar to the amount found in Tesla’s factory paint, but the flakes are more gold, giving you that classy look. See what you think.

3 owners—what do you think of this wrap color?

We’ve been doing quite a bit of the subtle colors in the wrap spectrum, which has been a nice change of pace. This gray is different enough to where people know something is special about it, but subtle enough to daily drive with. It also will go great with any wheel color we decide to do in the future (coming soon!), as well as carbon fiber accents.

I know this is an X but I feel this is too good of information not to share, especially for those curious about clearbra/ppf and how it can help with real world/daily mishaps.

The most common damage we see on Model X's and how to prevent it.

Happens frequently when they're opened inside a garage. Can't count the amount of X's that've come in with this. If you park your X inside a garage or any where with tight space above and beside your car, consider getting the doors wrapped. Saves the paint, which in turn saves you money and time being in the shop.


 
This is a client's custom made steering wheel for his 3. Matte carbon fiber top and bottom, reinforced side bolsters for better grip and handling, white accents and stitching along the sides, and matte carbon inserts on the face. These aren't those stick-on inserts as you see in the video these are the real deal.

Sadly, already needed rock chip touch up so there are some touch up spots, but better than primer and way better than dropping a bunch of money repainting. While the IGL is cured, my installer said it should "pop" even more tomorrow.

Looking for chrome delete color ideas? Check this out. Color shifting vinyl wrap goes from blueish/purple to green. We do a lot of black chrome deletes, so being able to do something different like this is pretty fun!

PSA: If you're getting clearbra (ppf) done or had it done, make sure you don't have these on your Tesla. Depending on the issues, some may be fixable (if addressed earlier than later), but others aren't.

As mentioned in the video, this is NOT to bash anyone. I made this video to educate owners who have 0 knowledge/experience with clearbra and may not know exactly what's considered "acceptable" in terms of a good quality installation, especially if they were told that they're suppose to get a high quality job.

I put the new measurements in the video for those wanting to go out and measure their 3’s to to get an idea where the new height would roughly sit at if you’re curious.


 
Chrome deleting--plastidip or vinyl wrap? In this quick video, we show 2 Teslas with 2 different chrome deleting solutions so viewers can compare and see which they prefer.

Plastidip has many great benefits. Easy DIY for anyone who wants to attempt it themselves and looks pretty reasonable on badges/emblems. Vinyl wrap gives you more of an OEM look compared to plastidip, but it requires more work than plastidip (sprays on). What's very clear is that they don't provide the same finishing once completed. This is probably the biggest deciding factor for people. Even though this video is specifically talking about chrome deletes, the same points can be said for anyone deciding to plastidip or vinyl wrap their entire car.

 
For owners who have the generation with chrome trims before Tesla came out with black ones from factory--if you're looking to get those painted black (versus vinyl wrapped or plasti-dipped), check out this quick video explaining how/what to look for when it comes to getting them painted properly Different painters have different methods of doing so, which can lead to excessive paint flaking/peeling.

Sometimes clients feel like they need to pick some crazy color when they do a wrap, and while those are fun, sometimes a simple gloss color is the right choice.

If you're thinking about wrapping your 3 red, you have to at very least consider this color. Satin Chrome Red. It's beautiful. It's a satin red, but with chrome shine. Sounds contradicting, but what you get is this anodized look to it, especially when the light hits it in different angles. It looks so good, that it looks fake, if that makes sense. Combined with a ceramic coat, the look is out of this world.

3 owners looking for a nice gray wrap color—check this one out. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for something that’s more on the classy, subtle side of things, but want something that looks special under sun.

If you’re interested in vinyl wrapping your Tesla, check this out.

A common question asked is “if you wrap a car, will you see the original color when you open the doors?” Depending on the experience of your installer, you may be able to request to get the door jambs wrapped as well. You’ll get a much more seamless look. If you’re curious as to what that’ll look like, here’s a 3 we finished in Ocean Green with the door jambs wrapped.

Quick little tip for anyone looking to get an aero kit/body kit for their Tesla—this applies to the kits that replace your OEM panels: the type of material it’s made out of will affect how well it fits on your car. A lot of brands use fiberglass for its low cost but they don’t fit as well as polyurethane, which is flexible. Here’s a 3 we fitted with Startech (polyurethane) and wrapped in satin black.
