Speaking of, I heard there will be only one interior to start with. Will it be wood or black? Anyone have any insight?

I love good woody words. Love that sketch as well. Tin, tin tin, urgh.

I'd like me some good "Gorn" with my Model 3 ;)

With all my angst over battery size, dual motor, glass roof, etc, probably the biggest thing I worry about is not being able to opt out of wood trim. I absolutely despise wood trim in cars.

"Woody" in this instance relates to sound but you can wrap that trim piece easy.

I would have thought this issue would have been much easier due to not using as much aluminum as in their other cars. AL-U-MIN-UM, dreadfully tinny word.

Trim, there you go, another tinny word.
    Perfectly dreadful!

I don't mind wood, not just one plain strip, it looks like an afterthought you that they ran out of black material to match the rest of the car. Use more wood somewhere else.

I couldn't agree with you any more. For an interior that feels so clean and minimalist- any wood trim feels very outdated and old. Just my opinion though.

It would be cool if the wood was sourced from a naturally fallen redwood from the Muir Forest just north of the golden gate. I could live with that wood easily. The day I was there there had been a tree fall the day before. The larger trees in the Muir woods are between 500 and 800 years old. Amazing place to visit if you get the chance:

I wish that Tesla would manufacture a woody. That would be so cool. Not to mention Tesla huarache sandals, baggies and wax.

I like the wood trim fine but would be curious to see what other materials Tesla may offer. I mean, how much would it cost to mold a straight and flat piece of nice looking plastic? or add to the complexity of manufacturing?

Carbon Fiber for me, please. White interior and carbon accents would make me extremely happy...

Seen the inside of Musks 'Interplanetary transport system ' yet? Wood grounds us. They made the first wheels out of it.

Random slab of wood.... makes no sense. Should be black or carbon fiber or that cool ash with the red veinw
