Not just some... that stalk became standard for Tesla sometime in 2014, as I recall.although some of the newer Teslas look like:
The current Mercedes stalk is identical as well.

I'll be severely disappointed in anyone who doesn't name their white M3 anything related to stormtroopers...
Probably true, I wish I could say from first hand experience... { holding back sobs from not yet being a Tesla owner. }Not just some... that stalk became standard for Tesla sometime in 2014, as I recall.
I think the point is that the Model 3 stalks are different from the merc/S/X stalks. They're standard across the board. On my (all) S there's a total of 4 stalks: Right gear shifter, left wiper/light stalk, left AP stalk and left steering coloumn adjustment stalk
They sure are. Supplier info is sparse, thoughI think the point is that the Model 3 stalks are different from the merc/S/X stalks.
That, and/or prime photo op locations?I wonder why we keep seeing these downtown in San Fran... self driving testing?
Someone just have to feed the paparazzi's? ... and the picture-hungry mob at TMC?I wonder why we keep seeing these downtown in San Fran... self driving testing?
Hmmm. +5 degrees Celsius currently at the lodge near there. Not so much winter testing, as spring/autumn testing.
Since the white one appears to be stopped on top of the cross walk, I doubt it was autonomous.I wonder why we keep seeing these downtown in San Fran... self driving testing?
It's light is likely green according to the opposite crosswalk (which indicates to walk) so it could very well be in the crosswalk legally. Its signal is on and it is about to turn right.Since the white one appears to be stopped on top of the cross walk, I doubt it was autonomous.
All they have to do is flip the video and it'll look like a RHD car for the local market.Model 3 Spotted in New Zealand!
Note that it is left hand drive so its probably for a promo shoot.
My guess is they are starting to gather autopilot data from an area that is nearby and where driving can be a challenge. Perhaps the front car is driven manually and the one behind is training the AP2 system?I wonder why we keep seeing these downtown in San Fran... self driving testing?
