I wouldn't base your color choice off a poor-quality cellphone image taken in difficult lighting conditions.

My surrogate (2016 Beetle) has about 3-4 ct/ft, or that's how it feels. I can barely fit a purse in there and it's already full.

how big is your purse?! the '16 beetle is listed as having a 15cf trunk...

Is that without folding down the seats? My previous car was 2006 Chrysler 300C (loved that car) with gigantic trunk. You could almost fit the Beetle in there. Coming from that, the Beetle trunk feels useless. Chrysler took 4 big luggage without trouble, plus some to spare. Beetle can't take even one properly. Part of the problem is the hatch. The way it's angled the whole trunk is triangle-shaped if you look from the side. So the triangle will constrain from some end no matter what you put in there.

Every picture I see of the M3 makes me want it to be a hatchback more. And the rear trunk height when lifted is comically high for a conventional trunk.

I'm thinking Tinting or internal temperature tests with the roof covered. It's too far back to be the metal roof.

Glass roof was too hot for the test crew.

They might be testing range with minimal a/c
