Model 3 Reveal Dates?

I hate that I get notice of Tesla events in the past with only a weeks notice. Like many of you, its hard to get to anything that isn't planned for weeks or months due to other commitments.

Has anybody heard of a potential date or location for the reveal? If we were able to pencil something in now, the working dead might actually be able to attend an event.

I would hold out the last 7-10 days of March. Likely the end of the month. TM tries to squeak in at the last minute.

I'm going to guess March 29th. It's the last business day of March. Not only do you make the deadline but you release the info during stock hours and get a nice bump....The mission of any CEO is to increase shareholder value after all.

Model S reveal was March 26, 2009 on a Thursday
Model X reveal was February 9, 2012. Also Thursday.

March 31, 2016 is a Thursday and also allows Tesla to stick to a March reveal date.

Not Fremont, Hawthorne where the design studio is. Tesla needs to keep a tight lid on secrecy and the only way to do that is never let the car outside the design studio.

Model S and X were both intro'd at the Tesla design studio in Hawthorne (behind the SpaceX factory)

It would also help them build buzz around the "success" of their model 3 unveil on their earnings call for Q1'16 versus punting it out to Q2'16 earnings call.

To have the reveal at the 31th, and open the reservations on the April 1th they will not have any information of the reservations in the Q1 results, but if the numbers are good Elon can talk about it in the Q1 earnings call, and if it is not as good, he may keep quiet until the Q2 results....

No printed tickets, just a promise that I can attend. I have no idea when or where it will be.

Generally launches are in Fremont because that's where they are building the production cars. Unveilings are in Hawthorn because that's where they design the prototypes.
