Model 3 - SN1 - Anyone catch the door handles?

In the video, at ~1:30, the gentleman walks up to open the driver's side door. I've watched it many, many, times, and I'm not able to determine whether it's a 'push & pop', a 'swipe', or if he's actually 'pulling' a handle.

Anyone make anything out?

I'd be confident saying that it's a push pop. You can't see him pushing the handle in but you can see when he lets go how it's depressed at the point where one would push (as he holds the handle itself)

Looks like thumb pushes the metal in against some sort of a spring mechanism and the hand grabs the sticking out part and pull on that. Very simple and elegant way of doing a door handle that is retracted...

Best pause moment is either 1:32 or 1:33 depending on the fractions you stop it within. It's fast, whatever he's doing. I'm trying to watch the reflections and the more I'm hearing what others are seeing the worse it's getting. I'm having fun trying to figure it out though.

If it's just on a pivot then the door handle should be quite reliable. I've owned two lemons in my life which has instilled in me enough fear to question everything that can break on a car. I welcome any simplicity in the 3 that can save me on future repair bills in and outside of warranty.

Is this happening? Looks like that may be the case. That guy is just doing it super fast. Haha

I think I'm going to figure out a way to open the door without having to use my ring finger.

Not sure why that can't be a 2 finger open exercise. Thumb and 3rd finger.......or thumb and 1'st 2 fingers since some people say that the thumb is not a finger.

oh wow, I can only imagine her reaction to "hey honey, we finally snagged a Tesla... but now I'm going to need you to swap out your wedding ring for this silicone band". would probably would be a hilarious experience to watch, just not to live.

I'm willing to pay $5 per video of real and natural wife reactions.
