Agreed, the M3 will be one of the highest volume cars in production, all with 1 identical body type, M3 accessories will sprung up like for the iPhones

I see 2 benefits of covering the glass roof. One is when it's super hot. Two is if you ever want to camp out in your car.

Correct, just demonstrating many automakers make you pay extra for things that common sense say should come standard for the price, like cargo cover in a hatchback, or rearview camera in a BMW 340i. And Tesla is no dummy or saint, they will extract the appropriate amount out of your wallet.

I would pay an extra $1-2k to NOT get the glass roof in addition to the premium package.
