I was happy to see this when I opened this months edition:
Don't lose sight of something -- when the S first came out, Consumer Reports gave it a score of 100. As seen above, it has now fallen back to 88.
Similarly, the Model 3 has just come out and I suspect will suffer a similar downgrade as more owners weigh in.
I was absolutely passionate about my P90D when I first got it, telling people "It's the best car I've ever owned" and I've owned some very expensive German sedans and sports cars. But when it became a series of problems that Tesla couldn't or wouldn't fix, I wrote a check for $9,000 to pay of the remaining lease and dumped the car, with it still having a list of outstanding problems. I pity whoever buys it.
But, I know the Model 3 is now out there, and early owners are wearing the same rose colored glasses that I wore. Just wait until the problems start and Tesla can't or won't fix them.
