I've been using that module for the past year on my Model 3 - it works great. Nice that it doesn't require cutting or splicing the wires.I bought the Tekonsha Modulite ZCI but haven't installed it yet. Hoping it works when I do!
Has anyone used that plug to power their wiring harness - instead of going to the battery or hooking to the power under the back seat? I'm going to install the Tekonsha Modulite tomorrow.
As things go, I did not get to the install yet.Any luck with this powering the Tekonsha module from the rear harness?

I recently installed the EcoHitch from Torklift on my 2020 M3. Install went smoothly (helps having a lift ;-) and the trailer lights even smoother. I used this adapter available from a private vendor on eBay: Tesla Model 3 Trailer Digital Wiring Module (Trailer Hitch Lights Connector) | eBay
Very slick, plugs right into the Telsa factory plug noted above for OE trailer light harness. This module is as plug-and-play as it gets, requires no cutting/jumping/running wires and module is contained in a sealed housing. I tucked it behind the bumper crash bar and mounted it there with zip ties.
I agree, seems a little steep. Maybe someone in the future will be able to reverse engineer the LIN interface for that adapter and make an aftermarket one. I think it should be pretty easy. That looks super slick, but $400... yikes!

Yes. I believe all Model 3s made after sitting Spring 2019 (or whenever they started offering the tire hitch for Europe) have the harness. If you have the tow hitch access panel under the car you probably have the harness.Do you think a March build 2020 would have this 3 pin wiring harness?
