Model 3 trunk more stiff to close

Maybe it's just me, but I swear in the past month or so my model 3 trunk has gotten really stiff to close. It's not like it would drop under gravity before, but a slight push would get it down. Now I basically have to force it all the way.

Anyone else noticed this? I'm thinking the shocks are maybe stiffening up in the hotter temps, or maybe the hinges need some lubricant. Been thinking about making a mobile app appointment to get it looked at but figured to check here first and see what others say.

Also, hi everyone. With covid I'm working from home and find I'm checking the forums maybe 1 or 2 times per week, whereas before I was checking a couple times a day....

Just Lube the hinge rotating points occasionally. Easy to see where they are by moving the lid up and down a bit. Any widely available spray lube will do. Use them on your trunk and door hinges as well. These would both work great and last a long time:

Lots of other options as well:

Personally I just use a quick spray from a can of Krown rust protection they give me when I have our other SUV sprayed.

Thanks, will give this a shot and save a service visit/ranger visit if possible.
