I just noticed every time it engages Autopilot, the UI interface responsiveness decreased: either swap tabs under setting or click to increase / decrease speed. Touch response delayed, map zooming with latency, etc. Even the rear camera stream is slowed with skipped frames.
AFAIK, the information system is running with Intel platform should be separate from nvidia's Drive PX2 autopilot hardware, on Model S with Autopilot 1, it doesn't interference with system responsiveness.
This following video shows this symptom when engaging Autopilot, the rear camera stream is reduced to around 10-15 fps, a lot worse than normal 30 fps (Compare the video with outside traffic):
btw, the firmware is 2017.50.12 b707518
