Tesla should really just give us some control over the nannies. They could easily implement a few drive modes and pop a warning disclaimer about traction and stability control.

Agreed. I really hate that Tesla is starting to become very similar to one of my least favorite tech companies......Apple

Where the Linux of cars at??

If anyone has root on their phone you can grab the apk and post it?
Its usually under /data/app/$appname/base.apk
You can install apkextractor and it’ll place it n the sd card without needing root. It’s found free on the App Store. Apkextractor

Dyno mode drives just like normal but with the traction control and stability control turned off. The Unlocked mode also turns off regenerative braking so the car feels much different than normal. I just tried the dyno mode and I like it better.

Wouldn't I want regen braking though? Seems like dyno mode is just a much better 'unlocked mode' .

I think most would prefer some regen as that is what they are used to. Some might like the feel of no regen though. Let's hope Tesla doesn't decide to change the password on the Dyno Mode.

Some of us might still prefer disabing regen in order to help bed brake pads for track driving. It's something I need to do this weekend.
Otherwise, it's good to have a mode where TC is disabled but regen and ABS are still working.

Ultimately it would be nice to be able to have more control over F/R power split and TC for track driving. I suppose we can hope...

With so much wheel spin, what would 0-60 look like if you got it to stick and not spin out of control.
Seems like the initial 0-30 is limited due to the power smoothing of the vehicle.
But if its blindly applied (possibly with staggered tires) looks like you could hit a 2.6?

Not sure what you mean. The Model 3 isn't traction limited in normal conditions. There's no wheelspin with TC turned off.

The car doesn't spin out of control, the driver does. Idiots like that will be the reason Tesla changes the password or removes the feature completely.

More talk about this again...

This is why I mentioned that the power curve is smoother at 0-30, but with dyno mode its not, hence wheel spin/slip from start.
