Model 3 Updated to 2019.15.105

It seems like a large amount of the tesla fleet is on 24.4 based on teslafi's firmware page, but based on this thread, I'm guessing there are many new and recent owners who are not registered to teslafi so they're not being accounted for yet in their numbers.

Picked up my SR+ with 07/19 build date with 2019.15.104. No updates until I went to SC yesterday and got a new software update notification.

Excited and loaded it up at home and it only moved me up to 2019.15.105! The change log was the exact same as the previous 104 change log so it seems like a minor update. Got my hopes up but it probably is due to HW3 as a previous poster mentioned

Same here. Picked up the car July 31st. Software 2019.15.105. Niece was so sad I didn't have the racing game.

We must be patient. With HW3 we will eventually have the latest and greatest. For a little while at least... until HW4+ comes along.

Same here except when I picked up my car on 07/27 it was downloading .105 while I was picking it up. Installed when I got home.

So I have the Pd3- and picked this up on August 1st, still on 2019.15.105 and tried everything to get an update. Hoping there will be one soon!

This is helpful for me. I am in the same situation as you, I took delivery in July, and was on .104. I kept not getting a software update and complained and asked why. I had friends getting 3 updates in the time it took me to get one. I finally emailed them then they accidentally copied me on a message saying this is the guy who was 'bugging' drew about updates, which pissed me off.

But having you post this makes me think that there are minor and major releases, and you may only be eligible for a major release every so often. The thing that is weird to me is that the past 2 updates I have gotten .104 and .105 today, all have the exact same release notes as my factory firmware had, and the 2 updates, word for word. That seemed weird, I would think it would say something like bug fixes or something but not copy the same release notes.

This update just came out of nowhere! My car has been connected to a wall outlet (not charging) and connected to WiFi with a strong signal. The notification did not tell me what version it is (I am presently on 2019.15.105). Anyone else get this notification? Will keep this thread updated.

Im So Jealous, I am basically about to wire my wifi router into my car to get the update to appear lol.
Anything special you felt you may have done to get this to happen?

I'm in the same boat, I ended up sticking a laptop with a USB wifi adapter running oblique/create_ap in the car in an attempt to get the update, no sign of it.

Yes. I leave the car plugged in when I’m not driving it (even after charging is complete), and it’s in pretty close range to my WiFi router and has 3 bars of signal.

I didn’t do anything special, but when I put in my service request to the service center for the update, they contacted me via email and pushed the 2019.15.105 update. Then about a week later (yesterday), I was surprised with a notification from the Tesla app saying that an update is available and downloading

What happens if you don’t have access to WiFi. Shouldn’t the LTE connection work? Do you get a message on your phone app indicating that an update is available?
