Model 3 windshield washer fluid

Might be a stupid question but
Was wondering if you guys had any recommendations for good washer fluid/ any bad experiences with some?
I need to get some washer fluid for my model 3 looked up some different types and got to thinking is there any harsh chemicals that can ruin your paint or clear coat/ ceramic coating if you have that on your car or affect your car in a negative way, Can you mix different washer fluids together

I was thinking of getting a rainx washer fluid but I remembered I had a bad experience with rainx a while back when I put a coating on my windshield and couple weeks or more later started to wear off and left hazing and just a mess to clean. Don’t know about the rainx washer fluid tho in terms of leaving the same coating could be fine because it’s a different product application

1pt. isopropyl alcohol
1 gallon distilled water, less 1pt.
1tsp car wash soap
several drops of food color

Oh, I forgot to mention, since you are in Vancover and weather is colder than here in Houston, you might consider higher % alcohol. I use what's available up to 70%.

I think most people say you can use regular washer fluid.. you don't need anything different then any other car. The manual does say not to use rainx though.. for what ever that's worth.

There is also a Winter 20/10 concentrate... mixable with their summer fluid. Works great and very safe for the washer hoses, nozzles, any/all trim (including the anodized window trim).

if you do DIY make damn sure you use enough alcohol to lower the freezing point enough or that would be real bad I'd imagine.

Yea, though I'm not totally sure why. I vaguely remember it saying something about streaks or something. It would be worth looking into if you're using it I'd say.

lol ya it would just freeze up in really cold weather and not help with ice or snow all that much on your windshield

Would freezing up hurt the pumps or tubes or anything you think?

does that mean I shouldn’t use any coating on the windshield either? Like aquapel or a type of wax
Was thinking of using some hybrid ceramic wax on windshield for hydrophobic properties

If it froze the tank could get broken, the tubes might not have issues being more flexible.

I would think so because when water freezes it expands so if it were to feeeze up it does have the potential to damage
