There are so many threads and calculations out there I know, but my question is, sticking with the 235/45R18 tire size, if I were to go to a 18X8" rim instead of the factory size of 18X8.5" with a offset of +40MM, what would I want the new offset to be, if anything different since the Rim will be a 1/2" narrower?
I am hoping that for a winter rim it won't be so prone to curb rash! I read that on a 235/45R18 tire that 8.5" is the maximum width anyway, an 8" rim I think should be a better fit but I am just not sure as to the offset.
Thanks,
