Lots of threads about wiper blades but just wanted to post my experience. Neither of the above mentioned options showed as fitting but the wiper blade set (Bosch 3397007863) for 2014/15 Audi A3 showed as fitting. Searching for those cars, these showed up so I thought I’d give them a try and report findings here. Both sets purchased from Amazon.
Trico Gold 18-2619
Swap out the attached clip for J hooks, attach the other clip, remove C attachment and perfect fit.
Trico Black 25-2619
Same procedure as above but these are designed for high speeds so they have an extra airfoil on one side that would be great except for the spray nozzle attached to the side of the arm. It’s hard to see in my pics but pretty obvious in person.
I did not try the Bosch set since they were almost twice the price of the Trico Gold when $15 shipping was factored in. If you can find them with free shipping they’d be similar to the Trico Gold in price. The main thing to look for is the 19mm size and not 22, then you shouldn’t need to do any trimming (based on the Trico literature and instructions). $23 with Prime Next Day is hard to beat. Won’t really have a good chance to report on performance for a few months but we shall see.
The Bosch part number will also get you the following other part numbers that are OEM equivalents for Audi (who consider the size 16mm for small and 19mm for large, confusing since Trico uses 19 and 22):
SWF:119272,VALEO:VM387,VALEO:574707,VALEO:VF387
Also, has anyone noticed that the Model Y has two sprayers per arm vs one on the three? Maybe we should retrofit Y sprayers to the 3 for increased spray performance. MCR is M3, MSM is MY.
