Wiki Model Accessories Mega List / Cheat Sheet

This site may earn commission on affiliate links.
I have compiled a list of all the Model Y accessories that I find useful, to possibly save other members the hours of research I’ve done, and lessons learnt from accessories that either did or didn’t work well on my M3.

I haven’t included items that I think are pointless, such as the screen protector, which is not necessary for protection on a screen that can’t be dropped, and not necessary for cleaning as the screen is very easy to clean with a dry microfibre cloth, and also not necessary for preventing reflections as I’ve had no issues with reflections at all.

If anyone has any suggestions for decent accessories then please share them, if I buy any of them I’ll add them to the list.

In no particular order:

  1. Tesla key fob: Model 3/Y Key Fob - Makes opening frunk and unlocking charge port much more convenient, also acts as a keycard even if fob battery runs out, meaning you don’t need to carry a keycard.
  2. Tesla console accessory trays: https://shop.tesla.com/en_gb/product/model-3_y-console-accessory-trays - Tesla don’t include these for free anymore!
  3. Power boot lid foot sensor: https://www.greendrive-accessories.com/en/products/302/-rear-trunk-lid-with-foot-tesla-model-3-2021-3701388104935.html - Great for opening the boot when your hands are full.
  4. Boot side storage bins: https://tessories.uk/product/model-y-boot-storage-bins/ - Just over half the price of the genuine Tesla ones.
  5. Ultra bright boot LED: https://tessories.uk/product/model-y-boot-light/ - Much brighter than the standard little light.
  6. Cup holder stabiliser: https://tessories.uk/product/model-y-3-cup-holder-stabilizer/ - Still allows use of big bottles, but keeps smaller ones steadier.
  7. Jack pads: Jack Pads for Tesla – Tessories - Essential if you have a jack without a large rubber saddle.
  8. 3D all weather floor mats: Amazon.co.uk - 80.59US $ 54% OFF|For Tesla Model 3 Car Waterproof Non slip Floor Mat TPE XPE Modified Car Accessories Fully Surrounded Model Y Special floor mats|Floor Mats| - AliExpress - Great for winter use, keep the carpet mats nice for summer.
  9. Sandisk 128gb max endurance microSD card: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B084CJ9T2R?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title&th=1 and USB adapter: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SanDisk-SDDR-B531-GN6NN-MobileMate-USB-Reader/dp/B07G5JV2B5?pd_rd_w=HNYZj&pf_rd_p=93639d66-4333-47a2-9afc-2b6ef148d92c&pf_rd_r=Q8AT2W8A033P40RS4ED8&pd_rd_r=10bd3e12-165f-4107-9860-22483eaa02ed&pd_rd_wg=aV1Zg&pd_rd_i=B07G5JV2B5&psc=1&ref_=pd_bap_m_rp_1_sc - Tesla USB stick is not designed to be constantly written to.
  10. Kwmobile keyfob cover: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07SPL9NB6?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title - Protects keyfob, enables it to be attached to a keyring, and makes finding the buttons easier.
  11. Real carbon fibre spoiler: https://www.greendrive-accessories.com/en/products/511/-6329-performance-spoiler-tesla-model-y.html#/1421-type_of_carbon-carbon_matt - I have the matte one, which looks identical to the Tesla Performance spoiler.
  12. 2022 Stainless steel pedals: https://www.greendrive-accessories.com/en/products/205/-8442-custom-pedals-tesla-model-3-and-tesla-model-y-3701388102610.html#/1143-color-grey/1772-tesla_model-tesla_model_3_and_tesla_model_y_after_2022 - Make sure to get 2022 ones, the brake pedal one is curved and doesn’t have the cross on the back now.
  13. Frunk shopping bag hooks: Front Trunk Hanging Hooks for Model Y – Tessories
  14. Boot shopping bag hooks: Model Y Trunk Hanging Hooks – Tessories
  15. Black door latch covers: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255269868872?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=o7ttrtJrT3u&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=rnqCLcR6T8S&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY - OK not essential, but I like them.
  16. Tesla Frunk carpet mat: https://shop.tesla.com/en_gb/product/model-y-carpet-front-trunk-mat - Very cheap for genuine Tesla!
  17. Matte black Tesla T badge covers: https://m.aliexpress.com/item/1005003266039362.html?spm=a2g0n.order_detail.0.0.46cff19cC4o1ym - Don’t bother with the replacement metal black badges, I had them on the M3 and they corroded from the winter road salt!
  18. Paint touch up pen: TESLA DEEP BLUE PEARL PPSB TOUCH UP PEN REPAIR PAINT BRUSH SCRATCH MODEL X S | eBay
  19. Temai phone mount: https://www.amazon.co.uk/TEMAI-Model-Gravity-Phone-Mount/dp/B09B6X8131/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=3NX5PSLJBXMDA&keywords=temai+model+3&qid=1648981237&sprefix=temai,aps,52&sr=8-3 - Great for Google maps, Waze or Apple maps.
  20. Mud flaps: https://tessories.uk/product/model-y-mud-flaps/ - Much better looking than the standard front flaps.
  21. Coloured front footwell ambient LEDs: Footwell Mood Light - Tesla Model 3 and Y or colour changing version: https://www.greendrive-accessories.com/en/products/661/-variable-color-rgb-led-light-with-remote-control-for-tesla-3701388107264.html - Such a shame Tesla didn’t include colour change ambient lighting like most other manufacturers!
  22. Coloured rear footwell ambient LED strips: https://www.greendrive-accessories.com/en/products/498/-6109-ambient-lighting-in-the-rear-footwell-tesla-model-3-and-model-y.html#/1295-color-white - Add some light to the rear footwells.

Has anyone found a reasonably priced frunk or sub-boot box or liner? I'm not too worried about it being Tesla specific, more something that fits and can contain grubby kids toys, etc.

I've heard the blue Ikea bags can do the job, but not managed to find one yet to see the fit. I would be tempted by handled boxes (even a couple of smaller ones could work) as they might contain any water/mud/sand that inevitably will make it's way in.

If anyone has found anything useful I'd be keen to hear/see! Thanks.

I have not actually looked for a liner. There is a nice soft hamper thingy on sale in America shaped to fit the Y Frunk but the price in pants (see what I did there) and when shipping and VAT is added, forget it.

I thinks in your situation, I would buy the trunk floor mat if you don't already have one and then get to work with sharp scissors, gaffer tape and a couple of bags for life; Sainsbury's yellow ones are strong enough and have good handles.

I am quite happy with my https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07MXH28DS/ (rear sub trunk) but I don't know whether that would meet your needs specifically in terms of function and price. "Reasonably priced" means different things to different people :)

Oh yes; the liner, a nice looking bit of kit. All I have do is think up a reason why we would need it🤔.

Could be a touring holiday vanity case for SWMBO..... Nope! Not available in pink. I suppose I could cut it up and make a shopping bag out of it .

At present, my K1300GT top box inner case (is this mumbo jumbo) sits nicely in the the sub trunk.

PS I think our favourite accessory is the OEM Tesla dog liner for the rear seats and doors. Lottie, Jack Russell X Dachshund, started whinging and protesting at being in her special window hight bed in the X3 of late. She is 13 and becoming something of a home body.

However, during the heat wave, she could not wait to get in the Y and was mouse quiet for the duration. Even so, she won't be going to France this year🥲

This looks great - will look further.

I think I'm almost looking for something to lift things in and out while on holiday (eg, get to the beach, lug all the buckets and spades out and then dump them back in afterwards). I'll keep searching!

I do that all the time with that liner - it has good strong handles. Works well for me, anyway :)

I'm confused as they mention it fits perfectly both the 3 AND the Y... But the rear well is quite different between the two so which is it?

Personally I was contemplating this one : Lower Boot 2-Tier Storage Organiser for Model Y - Tessories UK for the rear well
and those : Front Trunk Luggage Bag Set for Model Y (slightly pricier) for organising the frunk

Have you noticed how long it takes to get sand out of a car? It seems find its way into every nook and cranny and then reveal itself little by little from time to time.
With a two year old, sand is a day-to-day problem with nursery sand-pits, sand in the local park and day trips to the beach. As much as I wince every time a see it in the car or house, I have to think that this is just one of those things I have to accept and cry silently to myself in the quieter moments...

As for the storage options, I've found that most car boot organisers should fit nicely under the main boot and in the frunk and have the added bonus of being collapsable when not in use and have plenty of mesh pockets to fill: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Oasser-O...60828557&sprefix=model+y+stora,aps,84&sr=8-39

I've also checked the big blue Ikea bag and it seems to fit pretty nicely as well (but just without the structure).

Bump for those soon to be Model Y owners who got VINs today and can now officially start planning.

Anyone seen a liner for the cup holders or door bins, my current car frequently has dried out hand sanitizer and other gunk in the bottom, which won’t work well with a carpeted lining 😩

Also on the lookout for a rear seat cover for the front seats, and iPad holder (preferably not the one that hangs from the roof ready to smash into the centre screen when phantom breaking).

Check out Tessories. I added all that from there.

Ah the stabiliser is in the list but not the liners. Some additional items on there too not in the list, may be good to add or make the item in the list more generic?

Sorry for imbedding the link in the original text. I bought these door bin liners and am quite happy with them.
link didn‘t work, can you edit please?

So I caved in to the frenzy and I bought these:

Still on my list:

Did I miss something? :D
