Solution
Model S actuator is in C pillar. Got the bolster off. Applied a little heat to the white plastic clip in behind the bolter. Used wetted rags to protect all other areas from heat. It worked 100%
On the Model 3, that cushion piece is called the bolster and it's removed by prying off the top end and pulling it away first. The prices might be different on Model S. Have you tried looking in the Service Manual? Access is free for at least a year Tesla Service

The door actuator is inside the door and not in the C pillar, so you will probably have to take the door apart.
