Model S 90D uneven tire wear and winter tire recommendation.

Just took my 2016 Model S to Costco for a slow puncture. They wouldn’t repair it as it was “too close” to the side wall. They did however tell me that on the left side of the car the tire threads were at 5/32” and 3/32”, while on the right side of the car both tires were at 7/32”.

So I guess I need an alignment. Not knowing much about the alignment process on any car, I’m wondering would you trust a regular tire shop to align a Tesla, or should I have the service center do it.

My closest service center is an hour and a half away which is why I’d like to use a regular tire shop close by.

I bought this car used from Tesla 4 months ago with 28,000 miles on it and it still has the warranty.

Also, any recommendations for tires going into the winter. I’ll be driving on snow potentially 3-4 days every month.
