Ask my 14 year old ... she will tell you that anything Disney is celebrity at minimum and borderlining on quasi-deity.

Article's all over the place; $60,000 car?! More likely $90k+. One of the captions goes "From flame-haired to petrol-head: Alyson look pleased as punch with her new purchase". And, "The electronic car..."!
The article also mentions Jennifer Garner and husband Ben Affleck have also purchased one, which I don't think has been posted before. If you thought a lot of celebs had Prius' 7 years ago, wait another 6-12 months, I think the Model S will rival that car as the must have for them.
Someone should tell her to put some charging stations at the parks!! They are severely deficient!!
For once they low-balled the price (although they probably intended to round up from the base price). Given that she got the 21" wheels the minimum price for a car delivered now would be $76,400... and that's with the rebate!

I was told by the valet at the Westin Diplomat in Hallendale Beach this weekend that Dennis Haysbert has a Model S. This was unverified, but I really want it to be true -- between his Allstate ads, Presidency on "24", and being Cerrano from Major League, that guy is awesome!!
Some of the comments on these sort of articles are always the same. These are apparently the arguments of most BEV detractors:
- Electricity generation is 100% coal
- Batteries are 100% lithium
- Batteries aren't recyclable
- Used li-ion batteries are akin to radioactive waste
- Lithium is produced in dirty dirty Chinese mines
- Hydrogen is a wonder-fuel that appears out of thin air
Where do they get all this from? The ignorance is incredible in parts.
I'd give that about a 100 percent. Dennis has a home in Malibu with solar, wind, and a brown water system (which is hard to get in CA), Oh yeah, I've met him and he's a big guy and he drives a Roadster. Getting a Model S is a given. Even if just from the money he made on Wreck It Ralph.

On the other hand as evidence indicates that poor mental health is correlated with celebrity worship, perhaps those of us who worship the Tesla Model S are all nut cases:wink:

Cool! I was just surprised that he'd have one in Florida, although maybe the valet takes jobs in CA also?! This came up because I gave the valet the usual "this is a different car -- I need to explain to you how to drive it" and he said in broken in English that he had driven one because the guy from Allstate commercials had already come in with one. That would be pretty cool if he had bicoastal Model S's.
