I was thinking it is about time that I pick out a clever vanity plate for my Model S. Would love to hear some suggestions.

(I saw there was a thread in the Roadster forum, but that was for plates that you have actually seen. I think that Model S deserves its own as certain things you might put on the plate would be unique to Model S.)

The basic guide lines for an NC plate (where I live):
"Unless your personalization is offensive or is already taken by someone else, it will most likely be approved. Your plate can have up to eight letters, numbers, and/or specialized characters."

Though, I'm sure people in other states with different rules would be happy to have suggestions also. Remember, if you post it here, you give up any claim to it.

Just to get things started, I saw someone on twitter say they were going to get "S-CAR-GO" for theirs.

Crap, seriously, that's what I was going to go with and thought I was so creative and original....guess not.
I love the irony of it though, snail slow, car fast...S car go...

I like "OPECFREE" but you can't get 8 letters here in Georgia.

Going with "E*VISHY" - Vishy's my son's name and the E is self-explanatory, of course. Not very creative but, quite personalized.

For the sport version you might be able to get away with "FSTRTHNU", depending on where you live.

On a related note, was thinking of getting a custom license plate frame for my current gas guzzler saying something like "To be replaced by a Tesla Model S!" or some such thing - might help spread the word! Any suggestions as to which website I could use to do this?

Tesla used to give out bumper stickers that said 'My Next Car Won't Have One Of These' with an arrow pointing at the exhaust at events. Not sure if they still have them.

I put in a request for Tesla to reprint them about 6 months ago. I have not seen anymore. I think they should be reborn!

Thanks all! Finally went with autoplates.com who provided an option to upload custom artwork too. See the attachment for what I ended up with (this is my own mockup of what it should look like) - I'll take a picture of the frame once it arrives in the mail.
