OK, I went ahead and purchased the plate for my S.

Todd I thought you had to wait till within 60 days of delivery to get a plate. So are you driving around for the next year in an ICE car with WATTAGE plates?

In CA, if you look at the pdf form, there is a "Retain for Future Use" option. Just need to pay the fee each year.

You can reserve a plate for 60 days without paying...or just buy it. So yes, I'll be driving around for about a year with Wattage plates on my 2000 Saturn...hehe
 
Maybe he is kicking at the firewall trying to 'break on through to the other side'...? :redface:

Somebody made the point that there's not actually a firewall because there is no chance of a fire in the frunk. No ICE so no need for firewall.

This only came up because somebody was advocating a trapdoor/pass-through to put skis in the frunk and have them come into the main cabin under the 17" screen. Don't think this is going to happen!
