I figure between adding the decals, AND running with no front plate, I'll double the chances of having an opportunity for a nice chat with one of Virginia's finest state troopers. Maybe even a judge!

@scaesare: Have you had that chat yet 7 years later?

Hehe... once or twice with a Virginia State Trooper about not having a front plate, no citation either time, but admonition to get it done. Got ticketed while parked in DC one time... $50 if I recall.

Never even a mention about the decals.

I was thinking it is about time that I pick out a clever vanity plate for my Model S. Would love to hear some suggestions.

(I saw there was a thread in the Roadster forum, but that was for plates that you have actually seen. I think that Model S deserves its own as certain things you might put on the plate would be unique to Model S.)

The basic guide lines for an NC plate (where I live):
"Unless your personalization is offensive or is already taken by someone else, it will most likely be approved. Your plate can have up to eight letters, numbers, and/or specialized characters."

Though, I'm sure people in other states with different rules would be happy to have suggestions also. Remember, if you post it here, you give up any claim to it.

Just to get things started, I saw someone on twitter say they were going to get "S-CAR-GO" for theirs.

not reading this thread, but my guess is multiple variations of references to OPEC throughout. ANYTIME i see an EV with a OPEC related tag i get slightly naseuous.

I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen a "Native Californian, Designed & Built" license plate frame yet -- referring to the car, not the driver.

I like your idea for a license plate frame. This frame I've had since 2016 when I purchased the 90D (and still have it). CafePress made the frame.
