Looks like a custom job. Personally speaking, I'm not digging it. What do you think?

Looks like it rear ended a big rig.

If the driver and/or passengers walked away from that, I'd be amazed.
No amount of engineering could save you with that kind of damage. Wow.

The frunk lid is gone. Maybe salvaged to replace one that has been creased? :)

Think that's bad, I give you Insurance Auto Auctions, Inc.'s current inventory of salvage Tesla Model S's:

    https://www.iaai.com/Vehicles/Search.aspx?Keyword=tesla+model+s

Viewer discretion advised: many torn up, shredded, Tesla Model S hulks. Including one that was a f*re. (Wonder what caused THAT!) Some very recent (80K+) VINs too.

And Ludicrous Mode hasn't even come out yet.

Quite a few flood damaged ones, too.
The powertrain is sealed, so that would probably survive; but things like the ancillary electronics, and interior may be damaged. plus any wiring.

    I agree.

Though you would think if there was a death involved, it'd be all over the newspapers.

In one of the images it seems like the trunk lid is misaligned. Apart from that I like the look!

I like the RED rims. Do you think they would sell just those through the salvage company?

I think that's the frunk lid inside the car, not the roof. The roof is what's MIA.

Estimated repair cost is about 70K - I'm betting the battery is trashed.

Even then, at 7K miles the warranty should cover the battery. Indeed strange why that is a salvage. Must be a story of some sort.
