Did anyone else see this site? http://teslamodelsxc.wordpress.com/ "Steve and Jesse" are taking delivery of a performance Model S today and driving from SF to DC. They said #41 in their twitter feed, but unknown if that is VIN or reservation #. Should be interesting to follow.
Thanks, I just bookmarked it and I will be checking back to see their progress. After the motortrend trip to vegas with the a/c off in 100+ degree weather, I would like to see how they fair with less extreme temperatures and less hypermiling.
I'm sure some member here have HPC's in or around these cities. I wonder if they have a Roadster --> Model S adapter?
I also hope they have a non perf model s, I want to see how the 19in wheels effect (gain) on range. All of the model s tests by motortrend have been with 21in wheels
If they took delivery now then they have a sig and they come with 21" wheel by default. Unlikely (but possible) that they have 19" wheels.
Pretty cool. Looks like they "met" their car 16 minutes ago: Twitter / XCTeslatrip: Here it is! @TeslaMotors What ...
Bah I knew that if they got the pref they would stick with the 21". I was hoping that maybe if the just got a signature non-pref they might get the 19" for better range. I'm still looking forward to their trip!
I hate autocorrect with a passion of a thousand suns, but this compares nothing to what happens on iphones! pref should say perf!
Heh. If you choose to leave autocorrect on, you are responsible for its output!! Lack of humour is incorrigible, however.:crying:
Yeah ... Sorry, I've never come to appreciate when someone says something a little harsh and then claims 'lighten up, it was just a joke!' or ends it with a smiley face.
Never let a spelling error go uncorrected I guess but yes, this is about a cross country trip which is very cool. Would love do drive Route 66 in a Model S some day.
Oh cool. They went to Wine Country. One of the first long trips in the S will be that area for me, so I'm happy to see how it works out for them. I wasn't sure that I'd need extra charging while out there, but if I drop by a place and charging is available then I don't see why I wouldn't take advantage of it.
