Just picked up my beautiful dolphin grey P85 at the Tesla factory this evening. I cannot believe it's here! It was a special event with Elon Musk greeting us. Have some pictures to post soon. What an amazing machine!

So I'm sad to say I cannot seem to post the images inline and for whatever reason. I apologize for asking this, but what's the secret judo to make it happen? (I'm thinking there's a size limit?)

Hey Everyone! Just got back from some amazing joy riding.

To start off with, I was called out of the blue this morning and asked by the truck driver if I could take delivery of my car today. That in fact, he'd forgot that mine was on there since it was a last minute addition. Of course I didn't argue at all!

The car is in perfect condition, no scratches that I can see. Otherwise, just very dusty from sitting in the truck for a week. I will be requesting a detail...

Only missing items are the cargo cover and the child seats, all else is finished perfectly!

Be excited, this car is amazing!

Beautiful! Looks just like mine will from the outside, so I find myself looking at your pictures and wishing for a day in the (hopefully) not too distant future when her sister shows up at my house. Enjoy!

Cars that were configured to have 21" wheels were delivered with 19" in the interests of getting the car delivered. This could easily be the same thing. If so, then it of course should have been communicated clearly to the owner. Once again, clear communication seems to be an area that Tesla needs to work on.

I read a few posts for people saying there cars were being delivered with 19's instead of the 21's. Regardless of whether or not they were out of stock or possibly to speed up line and the delivery process at the end of year, I wonder what they plan on doing with the 19's when your 21's are delivered.

I can think of a few things:
1) Ranger service comes out, puts the 21's on your car and takes the 19's back.
2) Ranger service comes out, puts the 21's on your car, but lets you keep the 19's.
3) 21's are delivered to closest service center near you, you bring car in, they swap, they keep the 19's.
4) same as #3, but you keep the 19's.

The point of this is the following: (1) are they going to let you keep the 19's or most likely (2) if they are taking all these 19's back, what are they going to do with them all? They can't put them back on new cars because these are now used tires. (if they did, and they get caught doing this....wow that would be very bad for the company, and I don't think they'd take that risk).

Also I don't think they'd eat the cost and destroy the tires. So they'll have an overstock of used 19" tires....maybe they can resell these "lightly used" 19's to people with 21's at a discounted price so they can have dual sets? Or even better for owner's that already have 19's, perhaps they can sell them individually or (wishful thinking) give them to owners wishing to have a spare tire?

I received my Model S P85: Dolphin Gray, 21" Gray wheels, Pano Roof, Tech Package, Carbon Fiber Accents and Studio Sound, on 27 Dec 2012 in Fredericksburg, VA. VIN: P02339. It was missing the Carbon Fiber in the dash, spoiler and the carpet in the square recessed area of the frunk. There is also a paint flaw on the trunk, I missed the flaw on the walk around but my detailer showed it to me yesterday. It may have been a paint bubble. There was another flaw on the passenger side door but it was "fixed" at the factory. I have notified my delivery specialist and expect Tesla to do the "right" thing and repair it.

I am very happy with the car and it has made driving around Northern Va. a bit more palatable. I don't have a garage and live in a town-home so I am currently charging with a NEMA 14-50 outlet. My Model S replaced my 2000 Honda Insight.

Congrats! Great to have one delivered in the DC area; hopefully mine'll come in a couple of weeks. You mentioned your VIN, but if you don't mind my asking, what was your reservation number? You can PM me if you don't want to say but don't mind sharing privately; I'm just curious.

congrats, any more pics? considering the grey/grey combo like yours...
