Just got the call from Tesla. We'll be picking up our regular Signature (S#273)in Portland, Maine on October 14th. We have a 550 mile drive planned for the first two days (one overnight recharge scheduled), so we'll get some real life range info. From the experience we've gained driving Prii for the past few years I'm confident that we can beat the Motor Trend road trips with no sweat (sorry about that pun).

We are Signature 749, were called on Friday 9/7 by the DC delivery person and working on paperwork now. Delivery window is same as Soflauthor, 9/28 to 10/12. VIN is 208, which I find pretty interesting if, in fact, we are getting the 208th car produced. They must be batching production around specific sets of options. Definitely earlier than expected but very excited.

Sig749 has VIN 208, so does that mean its the 208th to be made? Including founders and test models? If so, it confirms that there is a lot of batching and the sig number being made is not a good indicator of total current production.
