Question: how are these cars arriving? I pictured an enclosed car carrier, but cottonwood's pic shows a car cover and a uhaul trailer. Did he pick it up himself, or is that how it's going to be delivered?

My assumption is that it arrived at the local service center via enclosed truck, was prepped for delivery, and then a delivery specialist delivered it on the trailer.

My Specialist said that if the car is delivered to Dania Beach first, he would be trailoring it up individually. That certainly is an inefficient way to deliver the car in that it would take him a whole day just to drive up to Atlanta and another to drive back down. Since there is an S118 coming to Atlanta too and another around S1080, I've got to believe they will use something bigger than an individual trailor, not that I know they will be delivered at the same time.

Sheesh - Anyone know how they plan on delivering to NC? I'm in Charlotte, but I know bunch of people are in Raliegh. Driving individual cars down from DC, 6 hours away, doesn't seem efficient.

My final paperwork calls it a 2012 Model S. I thought they were calling them all 2013 models? Anyway, should be loading on a truck soon!

A lot of 'journalists' are calling it a 2013 model, as that is pretty customary for auto manufacturers. But Tesla has been adamant about cars built in 2012 are 2012, cars built in 2013 are 2013. I am sure they will add a S 2.0 or 1.5 designation to mark version changes.

I love this configuration. It's going to be a beautiful car! This is so tempting, as the ar I have now is color schemed the same way.

Just a data point about batching...

I've been keeping up (I think) with all the configurations posted on both TMC and TM forums from folks reporting in that they have a delivery date.

None of them have my exact configuration. Maybe there is something to this batching theory.

We know it's batching. Tesla has said as much. The Delivery Specialists also said they don't how or when options get batched. I'll get upset when someone behind me with the same configuration gets their delivery date before I do. So far that hasn't happened. Perf., red, pano, black int., cf, silver 21s, no jump seats.
