SSL180 delivered this afternoon. Sorry I don't have pictures yet.
However, my neighbor was very kind and creative and posted this to You Tube Update Your Browser | Facebook

Make sure to have your volume on:)

Loved the vid. I was holding my breath as they backed the car out.

Hi Warren,

Congratulations!! It looks like we are going to keep Ben real busy.

Larry

Your delivery guy is Ben too? Ben H? If so, he'll be quite the jet setter.

@Tesla229, did you hear anything concrete from your delivery specialist yet? My window starts in 7 days, and I am still waiting to hear anything concrete. My Civic Hybrid is starting to need some work, and a few thousand more miles will be too much gas!

Just so I understand the table that you access thru post #2. The greyed in areas on the delivery window mean the car has been delivered? So if that is the case then I am seeing that VIN 465 has been delivered, which means that at least 465 Signature vehicles have been produced now. Quite a few of the earlier VINs might still be awaiting delivery and some VINs might be going thru a QC procedure for whatever reason, but in any event about half the Signature vehicles have been manufactured at this time right?

I got my VIN# last Friday (518), but not from my D.S. - got it from the TM Finance Dept. (!?) They had sent me an email asking if I'm still considering financing through TM. I told them I was "conditionally approved" by PenFed, pending receipt of a VIN# and signed Purchase Order. Within 15 minutes, they emailed me back with a VIN#! It's interesting that my DS never contacted me with the info after promising to forward it to me as soon as he got it. Anyway, not a word from my DS regarding delivery, but I'm definitely keeping my cell phone close by.....

Nice, but, no wonder Tesla might be having delivery issues if it takes two trucks to deliver a Model S! Is this the normal delivery protocol?

No, this is not the norm. Only the box truck came up from Chicago. The company that delivered it has a lot of experience delivering Teslas. To safely get the car to the ground the contact a local flatbed to meet them and move the car from the box car to the flatbed, move the truck out of the way and the move the car to the ground.

Tesla is expanding their own fleet of car carriers. However, in the interest of getting the cars in hands of buyers, they sometimes use third parties. I am sure if someone wanted to wait for a TESLA delivery truck Tesla would be happy to accommodate them (and the people next in line would be happy to get their cars a little sooner);)

The fact is that Tesla did fly Ben out here from California where he was helping out. However, no he's a different Ben, Ben B.

You have the same window as mine. In what part of Florida do you live?

I just have it set to do conditional formatting. So, if that date is in the past, it grays out. If there's still an end date on there, it may not be delivered. I've been debating adding another column for the actual delivery date, but it's a lot of work to update the full spreadsheet and I've got a *LOT* of stuff going on with work right now.

The summary chart sheet is great. Thanks for doing all this work!

If I read the summary data correctly on the chart sheet, it looks like Tesla has been delivering about 100 Model S's or more per week for the last 3 weeks and should pass through 500 Signature deliveries about now.

I talked with the delivery guys at Tesla yesterday about some delivery issues with picking up the car on the west coast I'm trying sort out, and while at I asked about delivery dates for my car (P174). They did have a window for me, Nov 9-23. It looks like batching is continuing up into the R's/P's.

For those watching configurations:

Green, Performance, Black, CF, Pano, Stereo Upgrade, Tech Package, Spoiler, Silver 21", parcel shelf, twin chargers, & HPWC -- Delivery currently is set to MD in their system and the location should be shown as MD for the purpose of the spreadsheet/dates.

I am assuming no VIN yet? I am P210 and hoping do get batched with you :) I confirmed a week and half ago a mid-November delivery but no definitive window.

Blue, Performance, Tan, Obeche, Pano, Stereo Upgrade, Tech Package, Spoiler, Silver 21", Parcel Shelf, Child Seats, Paint Armor, Twin Chargers, HPWC -- Delivery to Louisville, KY (via Chicago)
P210

Wow, if you got the matte obeche that configuration is identical to mine! You know that I'm going to need many pictures. Although with a blue car I would expect you to live down the road in Lexington, not in Louisville. ;)

What? Let work get in the way of this amazing, inspiring, living-vicariously-through-someone-else's-delivery thread? May I note that this is all that some of us - further down the line - have to live for? Remember the last time you blogged away at 12:22am regarding a car you bought but had not yet received - wait - had not yet driven...? Me neither. Onwards! Ask not what your daily work can do for you, ask what you can do for your Tesla-Obsessed admirers.

Question (for real): In summary, where are we right now, by your best guess, in deliveries, and what is ahead? Let me clarify - I understand there are 1000 USA Sigs to be made, then 500 R (Roadster F&Family), then - or at same time as the R's - the 200 Canadian Sigs, then P's (P = general production - yes?). Can you guess/clarify why we see P's being made when the sigs are still being made, and surely not all the R's are yet made? Is this due to batching of locations, or batching of configurations, or due to order cancellations or...Zodiac Sign? I am, eponymously, Model S 1079 - general production 1079. When shall I awaken from this three-and-one-half-year anticipatory slumber? Seriousness aside, I mean ix-nay humor, I would love to have an updated overview of the process, the overall queue, and current status. Many thanks for all the time you have put into this. And don't worry about your job, it's a fine labor market out there.

Six additional Model Ss headed northeast toward New York.

Delivery at a gas station, trying to make a point there?

It was rather ironic.

We had a 16 hour advance notice while camping in the Poconos. So instead of pulling up camp and heading home the delivery specialist offered to meet in the area. This worked out well for them since it was along their intended route. The gas station location was the truck drivers choice.
