Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Same here. Confirmed Sept 15, delivery was showing late October until recently... today I logged in and saw late november/ early december...

The MyTesla page is notoriously inaccurate for delivery time frames. Sometimes it changes to later dates and then changes back to earlier dates. Sometimes it takes seemingly forever to update. Your best bet in my opinion is to speak with your DS. Yes, there are lots of stories about bad experiences with the DS staff but for me, despite delays in communication, their information was always way more accurate than the website regarding my delivery times.

Thanks for the tip! I'll send my DS an email and see what he says! :)

Maybe delay is for some updates? Wouldn’t be worst thing ever right?
Personally felt a more sig update was on horizon, with model 3 release eminent. I thought Elon would announce this alongside the semi truck reveal at end of September but has been pushed back twice now till November.
So if New S/X getting a visible update (not a software locked battery or something not visible to naked eye) then you want an official announcement like at a reveal or maybe a quarterly earnings report.......

I wouldn't mind getting an update if any updates come out... Although, if the update is due in November and the vehicle will be built in November, then it may be late to get the update. I'll be fine either way :)

I ordered my 75D Midnight Silver metallic MS at the Richmond VA store on 30 August and had it delivered today. I could not have been more pleased with the car and the delivery team who walked my wife and I through the many features of the Model S. My Tesla delivery specialist George was excellent and he kept me informed throughout the production process and he coordinated the delivery at the Richmond facility. Anthony, the local delivery specialist, and his team expertly answered all of our questions. The personnel at the Richmond store were all very pleasant and very eager to please. The drive home was flawless and it was fascinating to see the display start adding information as the cameras calibrated themselves. My ONLY disappointment is not being able to access live MSNBC, Bloomberg, NPR, and BBC.......is there a way to do that?

Typically when Telsa announces there are updates there is a time frame where cars already built (sometimes already delivered sometimes not delivered yet) have the newest update.
I’ve seen so many people get there S/X custom built and delivered within 4-6 weeks and on the X forum orders made in early to mid September have yet to hit the production line.
Any announcements should be expected either 11/1 quarterly earnings or the semi even in November - still it’s just a guess as Tesla is always updating. But with the model 3 public sales set to ramp up soon, I think an update is due to the S and maybe some tweaks to the X interior

Maybe this has been mentioned already so forgive me if it has. Could Tesla be intentionally delaying some deliveries because they are skirting close to the ever so precious 200,000 car limit for the$7,500 tax incentive? The rebate phase out starts the 2 quarters AFTER the 200,000th car is sold. So for Tesla, it would be in their best interest to make sure that car 200,001 is sold after 1/1/18 and not before. Otherwise the phase out would start first thing 2018. If they hold up a few shipments they could secure another full qtr with the full $7500.

The caveat is that this only makes sense if they are close. They might not be, I have no idea.

when model 3 was on scheduled we might hit that this year or early next year. But since that's not happening, we're probably at least into march/april time frame til countdown.

Ballpark estimate is 158k by end of this year for the S/X sales. Again ballpark they sell 12k or so in USA for first quarter then we are at around 170k by end of Q1 2018 in S/X sales to USA.
Don’t see them selling enough model 3 in 2017 to make a difference. Key is if they can sell 30k model 3 total by March 31, 2018.
If they have more delays then might defer #200k to April 1, otherwise I’d bet dollars to donuts that 200k gets hit late Q1 2018
